You would have to drop the mount to access the filters

I’m going with a single compressor now, still using your mount which arrives today. Do you have any tips on mounting the single ARB for best access To filter and room to store air hose? Bonus points for pictures ;)

I already got it in. Mounted a little different but worked out perfect with room to store hose and inflator.
Relocated the Coupler to below the bed rail.

As much as I want to get the EE bedside mount, I really wanted to see what I could get away with since I recently had a tore all the tendons in my knee and can’t move around too much. I grabbed a few components to move a few things around and made a couple of adapters to hold stuff nice and snug, I’ve got a rough draft of what I’m going to try and install. What you don’t see is that I have behind the air hose hook up. I added a “T” connector so I can not only use my air hose on its own but also air up my airbags from inside the cab while I’m driving. That way if my rear end is riding a little off with the trailer, I can air up and down with a switch while moving. I’ll get more pictures and updates as it comes along. I also really have no damn clue what I’m doing but I’m having a blast!

Any remedies? Was thinking about putting a rope of caulking along the seam of the mount. Not sure why it has a gap to begin with.

Bumping this. Contemplating just scraping this mount and moving to the engine bay before I ruin my compressor.

The engine bay doesn’t get nearly as much dust. I opened my hood after that trip and there was barely anything in there compared to an open mount directly behind a tire.

Ah, because the tire kicks up dirt. That makes sense.

Exactly! Which is why I’m surprised this mount exists in its current form.

I have one but haven’t installed. I will seal it. I prefer the bed location.

I do as well but the dirt is most likely going to clog my intake. I’d recommend finding a way to put a cap on it + run some sealant around it. I saw that some people said the compressor needs to breathe... but if you’re using it like I do the door is open when you use it.

I'm going to put a piece of sheet metal on mine to make a top just to keep that whole inside cleaner. Your not going to be driving down the trail with your compressor running anyway.

Is everyone just worried about the compressor getting dusty?

If it's the intake filters you're worried about you could mount them remotely.

Does anyone know if the Expedition Essentials mount comes with the hardware to mount the arb to the box? Or do you have to supply the hardware? thanks!

What are the interior dimensions of the ARB bedside mounting box? I want to see if my new napa compressor will fit. It's about 14.5in x 6in.

I'm in the same boat, curious if I can fit a Napa Maxi Trac compressor in this box, inner dimensions anyone? I would scrap the Maxi Trac base and save about an inch plus of needed depth
