So I finally ordered my beloved ARB bar and am tripping myself out that for whatever reason it won't fit, probably the fact that I dropped $900 on it. I have a 2000, so the frame on my truck needed to be cut, but was already cut to accommodate the bumper I have on there now (All Pro Baja bumper) and am wondering if it will just bolt right up since the frame is already cut and welded?

Well if you ordered the correct bumper with the correct mounting brackets you should be good to go.

    Oh man...what part doesn't fit?

One of my crush can bracket things was defective on mine. It was welded improperly. ARB had to send me a new one. The new one was overnighted, but it was the wrong side. The packaging had the correct part number but the wrong part. I eventually got the correct part. Now all is good.

You can see it on post #111 of my build thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/otis24s-build.372874/page-6

I ordered it last night from 4wheelparts, its for the correct year truck and everything and is the right bumper so it should be ok. I hope I don't have @otis24 problem and everything goes on without a hitch. Hopefully it'll be here sometime next week

It sounds like you should be okay. Mine is still only 3/4 of the way on. I really need to finish it before I use it for recovery.

Bumper came in today, quoted $475 for 4 wheel parts in Thousand Oaks to install without a winch so looks like I'm doing it myself when I get my truck back from the shop.

Of course four wheel farts would charge 4 hours of labor to install a bumper. Good lord.

A price like that tells me they don`t need the work or really want to install the bumper.

If they sell bumpers and you bought yours online that may be the reason for the high price quite

I bought it online from 4 wheel parts so I figured they'd be a little flexible with the price but for the money I could save doing it myself I can almost buy a 9.5k smittybuilt winch with a synthetic line. Sounds much better to me

Sway bar delets is also super easy. Easier than installing an ARB bumper. It's a few bolts. If they're stuck cut them off with an angle grinder or sawzall or some other cutting device.

Installed the bumper myself with one of my friends. Only took an hour, I didn't even read the directions for the most part, just kinda guessed and messed around with shit until it fit, lol. No shop should charge more than $100 to install this.
