I have an ARB bumper on my 2020 Tacoma. Noticed the fender trim is coming off. Service manager says excessive metal on the bumper is pressing against trim causing loosing of trim. Bumper installer says inadequate adhesive used from factory to keep trim in place. IMG-1069.jpgIMG-1067.jpg

that looks like an install or damage issue. Have you hit anything with it?
Either way, the dealer is not going to cover that particular area given the modifications needed to mount that bumper.

Didn't hit anything. Dealer suggests someone backing into bumper would be enough cause the problem. The licence plate on front bumper shows no evidence of any impact. Had same style bumper on my 2014 Tacoma and had over 300,000km on it with no such issues and I pushed through a lot of brush, alder tangles in that truck.

    100%.

Unless they've changed the design you can adjust height on these. Since the body flexes independent of the frame you need to leave a gap. You might be able to adjust the bumper down to increase the gap to stop this from happening.

gotcha, it was just a guess, I know it is a stout bumper, but what it is mounted to,,,, not so stout. The wheel well and front trim both appear to be pushed out, like the bumper could have been pushed directly back in to them.
Oh well, what do I know?

I hear ya, not doubting your insights. it's just that this truck has had a very sheltered life so far compared to my last tacoma. I hit a deer at 110km/hr in that truck one night during the rut when a crazed buck decided it was the right time to try and cross the highway by jumping out of the roadside ditch in front of me.Didn't get this type of problem. The scariest thing this truck has seen is underground parking lots when I have business in the city.I don't think one of those cute city sedans could cause this damage.:)
