Anybody have any pics or recommendations on led setups on a arb bumper? Cubes or lightbars?

I have a pair of cubes on the bumper, and a 20" bar up on top.
The cubes in the pic have since been replaced with a pair of SAE fogs in a similar cube form.
The one on the bar really doesn't stick up any farther than the bug guard, and I don't notice it driving down the road.20190521_160026.jpg

I wish the tabs on top were mounted on the bottom of the bar instead of the top for light bar. Might have to break out the welder. Maybe fab some recessed cubes in somewhere

I’ve seen pix where owners of Gen 1 ARB bullbars have cut the front panel to fit the later (like Gen 2.5) fog light+ turn signal bezels. I have Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro foglights integrated into my Gen 2’s bullbar and I like that combination.

It would work and look nice on a Gen 1 too, IMO. I’m considering that as an option for my aging Gen 1’s bullbar when it gets re-powder coated later this year.

I know you wanted LEDs, but... I have the Hella ff75 lights mounted inside the lower two cutouts next to where the winch would go. They're the perfect size and sit behind the metal. Flip the mounting bracket around and they bolt onto the inside ledge (after drilling the hole ofc). Looks super clean - can take a picture after I get it back from the shop.
You may even be able to swap out the bulbs for similar sized LEDs if halogens just don't do it for you, but I don't know if that would throw off the reflector's design.

    Yes -- pix please. :)

My Gen 1 will be moving to a state that doesn't require a front license plate, so the winch fairlead real estate now occupied by my plate will become available...

you can probably put DD 5” driving lights in the middle.

don’t know about fogs given the flat corner sections.

I have an ARB bumper on 2nd gen that I trimmed the sides and will trim more to clear tires but am careful to not reach the limit of interfering with the brace hidden on the backside. After cut will probably touch up paint then get a flat plate welded.

need to make sure I have it set to the right height first. There’s a lot of margin to set it and specific guidelines where to. 10mm maybe? To allow for some ugly gap that functions to allow bumper flex room during recoveries to avoid smashing the fender.

I don't have a winch setup: I placed a 20" light bar where the winch controller would normally sit. There are those two pre-drilled holes there already, so I just found flat washers/flanged nuts to go underneath and tightened the hardware to the light bar mounts to that location. Fits great.

ive helped install off the tabs some longer bolts and a spacer was used we used like think a 1-1.5 inch spacer then mounted the light under the bar, since they didn't want them up top. ive my Radio antenna mounted on the tab

not a first gen owner, but I've 9inch LEDS mounted in the middle of my ARB on my 2nd gen Tacoma, have had 7's and some smaller pods mounted at one point.

Recommend some round ~6" LED lights, I think they look best with design of the rest of the truck. KC has some really nice options available.

Agree with 6” round lights on the ARB bumper looking the best. I have some 6” IPF 968 lights that were free with the bumper purchase, but I’ll be changing them to 6” Rigid 360s to maintain the look.

Update to this since I said I would get pictures after I got the car back from the shop. Here you are:
    PXL_20240527_182033937.jpg
I used a Nilight wiring harness since the Hella one was basically a relay, a spool of wire and a "have fun". They're 55 watt and throw out pretty far. They're a little bit shallow probably due to the tabs of the bumper blocking some of the light on the left and right sides, but I don't really mind. These are great if you're concerned about getting pulled over for the lights being mounted too high up or don't want to cover them up when using them on public roads. My state has a height requirement - 12-30 inches off the ground max - otherwise they have to be covered up unless you're using them offroad which is why I mounted them where I did. Mounting in front of the grille would be over the 30" mark.
