    Ok,
This is going to be my truck's weekend, I'm planning to install by my self the ARB bumper I just got.

I'm asking for advise for anyone of you guys who already performed this installation or help to, tips of what not to do, but my MAIN concerns are:

1.- Avoid inclined installation of bumper, I like to have the recommended gap between the fender and the bumper, but I will like to see it straight.
2.- Electrical installation of ARB fog lights to my truck OEM installed fog lights. (This shouldn't be a problem - plug-and-play-, right?

Please help with your positive tips, once I finish I'll post some pictures.

    Regards.

NOTE: any other advice will be welcomed.

Putting one of these bumper on i would recommend having a least 2 buddies so you can adjust it easier.

It just takes some time but not that hard to install . I installed mine a few months back by my self in one evening . Just read the instructions and follow them step by step. If you lived close by I would help you do it . The wire colors that you need to tap into is the green for the turn signal and the red is for the parking light and just look for a good ground . Good luck !

Thanks Guys, I have my Son for the hard part of lifting and putting bumper in place, but advice and tips always make in this case installation easier and also let you avoid
    "undo" things.

I can imagine it is going to be laborious to remove them all, but once you start there is now way going back. I have all weekend.

It should take you like 2-3 hours with install mostly trying to find all the clips.

If all possible, at least have someone help you lift it in place. That's the hardest part and only takes about 5 minutes.

Understood, I've seen pictures where several people removed the grill, is it really need to do it?

    Working on it
The grill clips into the bumper on the 2012+, not sure about the older style. Without installing a winch (I still don't have one) it took me maybe 3 hours. I didn't cut my stock bumper because the gap doesn't bother me one bit and it seems to be a waste.

In hindsight I probably should have gotten a winch first but I drive through freaking white-tail alley every morning around 4AM.. need protection man.

I know what you said, it is better to have it and use it than not have it and need it... applies better to guns and deer.

    You can do it!:D

Once the bumper is hanging on the bracket, I used wood shims to get the clearances I needed/wanted!

Take your time, the destructions are pretty good!

Yes, so you are the one who used the wood shims, I knew I've read it somewhere, this is one of the best tips to apply.

I had some pics in my build thread, but when Kodak Gallery shut down, they all dissapoeared:(

I did mine alone. First night I put the winch and bumper together, day 2 installed it.

    All went well for me.

Having that second guy would have been nice lifting it in place, but even with the winch installed, I got it!:D

That gives me a bunch of confidence to finish it tomorrow, I will start early before heat gets above the 100's... and light the night up with my new bumper installed.

    Thanks,

What did you end doing with the under the fender covers? it seems that they need to be trimmed once the ARB bumper is on.

I did trim mine, but the instructions say to zip tie them up out of the way. If you do it ARB's way, the inner fender wells will still offer some protection to the engine compartment. I was too lazy to do it their way!
