    I have a 2015 Tacoma DCSB and am interested in getting an ARB front bumper with winch.

    What suspension upgrades should I make to support this extra weight while maintaining roughly stock ride height and stance?

    Waiting on my ARB to ship, I'll post some pics if you want when it gets installed. But I went with Toytec/Boss coilovers in the front, which are adjustable. Brother has the same setup on his FJ and it supports it nicely while giving it minimal lift. His rides great with the bumper, mine rides great without.

    I would be interested to see some pics after the install.

    You didn't do anything to the rear?

    Here's mine with a 3" pro comp lift in the front with AAL in the rear. I don't have a winch in my bumper though.

    Too poor to list anything interesting.
    If you go OME, you'll want the 886 coils up front. Since you want it more on the stock side, don't worry about the spacer add ons. Just be prepared to get new UCAs later in case you run into alignment issues. But you should not have any, since it'll be under 3". However, it's always best to plan for the worst.

    You may be able to get away with an AAL in back, vs new leaf pack.

    This is my truck now with no winch. I have full skids from budbuilt. The suspension is OME with 886x in the front with light racing uca's and in the rear are the Dakar leaf pack with the shocks that come with the OME 3" lift. I will be upgrading the front soon when I get a winch to I believe the 885's or 884's can't remember off the top of my head which are the heavier duty.

    Not to thread jack, but did you need a "filler" plate to go between the budbuilt skid and the bumper to cover any excess? I have budbuilt skids and emailed them, but they weren't sure with the ARB bumper measurements.

    886 are the heavy duty. With 885 and 884 having lesser spring rate. If you want stock height get the 884 with the ARB. They'll probably give you no lift with the ARB. The 885 and definitely the 886 will give you lift with the ARB.

    Ones a Shock the other is a spring. I'm not sure what you're asking for in terms of comparison?

    Maybe he is asking about the difference between the 5100s and OME886?
    Awesome thanks!

    Again, ones a shock, the other is a spring?

    Does he mean 5100's versus the Nitrochargers? Or the 886 vs whatever spring Bilstein normally puts with the 5100. Or putting an 886 coupled with a 5100?
    So many choices!

    Seriously though, I'd love to answer his question, but until I can fully understand what he's asking I can't answer it correctly. (Hell, when I had OME they were the old all yellow shocks and the springs weren't the 886X. Just the 886. :p)

    I've had my 886x on my truck for probably 30k and I'm thinking about changing them cuz I got them used with 10k on them. Could I reuse the springs or should I just get all new

    You could totally reuse those springs. They're beefy as hell. They actually gave me more lift than my current Walker Evans cranked do. (I've got a hell of a lot more down travel though than with the OME set up.) 30K on those isn't bad at all. Unless you're bagging the shit out of them or doing a massive upgrade like I did, I don't think you'll see much of an improvement than what you're currently running to be honest.

    There seems to be some confusion here, perhaps get your OME learn on in this thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...nswers-pictures.258245/page-364#post-10488587

    886 coils are designed to be used with a steel plate bumper/winch combo and will get you approximately 2.5" of lift

    884, 885, 887 coils all have the same spring rate but have different lengths. On a stock double cab 4x4 (other models will yield different results since they weigh less) the coils will provide the following lift heights (approx.):

    884 = 1.5 - 2"
    885 = 2.5"
    887 = 3"

    I have a ironman suspension and I was wondering what the better choice would be butting 887 or 886 coils or 5100 adjustable shocks

    Here are photos from the install. Still have to put in the fog lights and signals. I lost maybe a half inch in height with my toytec/boss coilovers. They weren't adjusted to the highest setting either. Rear stayed the same height. You will have to cut the stock bumper too, if you weren't already aware.IMG_20150718_094835014_HDR.jpg IMG_20150718_094845649_HDR.jpg IMG_20150718_094900999.jpg
