    Hey everyone,

An ARB bumper may be on the horizon for my rig this Summer.

Despite my Google-fu, I can't seem to find examples of what ARB calls their Integrit finish.

Has anyone on here bought one in that particular finish? What are your thoughts on it?

I'm leaning more towards the standard painted (powdercoated) finish, but this Integrit option has me wondering...

Stealing a pic from the internet for reference.

This is great! Thanks! Wow, they weren't kidding when describing it as a "textured" finish.

    Looks pretty coarse.

Really like the textured finish on my ARB; matches the rustoleum spray paint/bed liner finish on my sliders.

Never taken a closeup at all, and since I don't wash my truck (only do so when there's mud), here's the best pic I can find -

    20200212_110917.jpg

You can see minimal shine due to the texture, and that's with the sun right above it.

I'll snap a close up tomorrow of the bumper.

    That'd be awesome! Thanks.

My Tacoma is black, so I'm trying to avoid turning it into a massive black blob. Thought the Integrit finish might help it stand out a bit more from the rest of my truck, but they both seem to be quite dark. I guess one is just more shiny than the other!

Here’s mine with the ARB deluxe bumper with the black finish. The finish on my bumper is similiar to what Kwikvette has mentioned about his bumper.

    Thanks guys!

These are great! Seeing these, I might be leaning more towards the Integrit finish now.

I hope you're ready wallet. :spending:

I much prefer paint on bumpers, sliders, and skid plates. If you off-road at all, you WILL tag them on rocks. I don't care what kind of coating you have, it's coming off when a 5,000 pound vehicle tags a rock.

Powder coating and bed liner stuff is going to come off, and it s PITA to patch. With a rattle can paint job, you just scuff it up with some sandpaper and spray. Good as new.

Hmmm, now you got me wondering. I took the plunge and ordered the textured last night. I was hoping I could use some bedliner to touch up, hmmm lol. I thank you for the info.

jbrandt, are you saying it's harder to touch up spray can bedliner than spray can flat black?

Don't get too caught up on touching up bumpers.

I've gone through trails that leave pin striping on my truck, but the armor has held up and remains without scratches.

Worst case, I'll touch up with Rustoleum (what my sliders are painted in) with a light coat of bedliner on top for "grip"

The factory antenna though, I swear that thing should have broke a long time ago :anonymous:

It's the thickness and texturing that makes the bedliner stuff harder to patch. Not really the fact that it's from a spray can. But normal everyday rattle can spray paint is easier to patch. Just scuff it up and spray, and you can't tell the difference.

If you don't really care too much about aesthetics, anything is easy to patch, lol. Just spray over the scratches/chips. You'll still see the marks, but at least it won't get all rusty.

I hadn't thought about putting bedliner stuff on top for grip, that's a good idea. I was thinking of just some of that sandpaper tape stuff.

The BBQ is starting to show wear from my feet, and bedliner would definitely hold up better for that.

I won't take credit for it

@GHOST SHIP had the idea; he painted my sliders only to finish off the top with some bed liner.

I've stood on my sliders for reaching in, or getting in the bed of my truck more often than I can count. Very useful.

Yeah, when I'm washing my truck, I have to step very gingerly on them, or else I know I'm taking a header. Grip is good, lol.
