Does this fit nicely in the engine bay anywhere?

 

good heavens no, its big, its 2 comps hooked in tandem.
it ways about 40-50 LBS. This would be something you tuck in between the bedside and bed wall, Like what Chris did. Or make a box for it to tote around with jumpers hooked into for portable use.

My current plan is a camper shell and probably a carpet kit so I've got something to pass out in out in the desert. Going to try to get some benches made the length of the bed the height of the wheel wells with underseat storage for tools/recovery since I'll have to lose the tool box...LT somewhere down the road when I've got the cash to spend.


Anyways, life story over, this would be awesome for me if I had somewhere good to put it...I'm gettin super tired of taking an hour to air up with my B&D air compressor/battery jumper thing...

I have the same compressor. Absolutely awesome piece of gear. Fills up my 35's in 2 mins. Mine is fitted behind my rear seats on the drivers side.

+1 bump wish I could have paid that.. this is a 100% duty rated compressor(s) without the amp requirement of the extreme compressors, mine is mounted under the bed between the cab and spare, and the air inlets routed into the bed comparement to prevent dust being sucked in and water. I use two 1 gallon tanks mounted to my CBI bumper in the fenders to power air tools.. it's AWESOME!!! Someone needs to buy this.. we aired up 2 trucks with larger tires than it took a normal compressor to do one
truck tied off the battery.

Well now (rub chin) I never thought about an under the bed situation...How did you mount it like that? To the cross member? or just through the bed...Does it come with a mounting plate of some sort or did you just drill through?

 

Also the filters can be remotely mounted to help keep dirt out of it.
