It's my luck that once having expressed an interest in something, it will be yanked away like the proverbial carpet, but it'd be good luck for you in either case! :hattip:

Now to put this to the ol' man.... :argue:

EDIT: OH GAWD, Mapquest has given me a route to you that's only 4 hours and 38 minutes away!! I could be there THIS FRIGGING AFTERNOON...
    :annoyed:

Just arguing about this with the ol' man a few minutes ago, and, this question was asked already, but can you take a guess at how much this weighs? I looked on the ARB website, but there's no mention of if it's aluminum or steel (assuming steel), or weight there either. I've sent a question to the company, anyway, so we'll see if they answer.

I was looking at getting my shocks replaced before winter anyway, but his biggest problem is that the additional weight will require some additional modifications or something, I guess. Considering that the stock bumper is basically plastic, I can see his point. Help!? :(

Thanks i-cappi; I was guessing at least 100. Are there any suspension updates, aside from shocks, that I should consider if I do this?

I'd say some springs with a higher spring-rate, but you having a pre-runner I really don't know what spring to suggest to you.

I'll check out RockAuto's page and see what they suggest... I'm going to wear the ol' man down, you just watch. :D

Okay, I've got the ol' man in my court now. See? That didn't take long.

I've decided I'll make the trip over there this coming Friday morning, if you still have it. We can arrange details via PM if you like, 11tbantz?

EDIT: I meant to add that I did get a response back from ARB on the weight of just the bumper, and here's their response:

"Hello! Yes, all of our Winch Bars are made from steel. Shipping weight is 270 lbs., dry weight will be around 220 lbs. With a Winch installed. We do not sell direct. There is a dealer search engine on our website. www.arbusa.com . Let us know if we can be of further assistance."

So, I still don't know what the weight of the bumper is, officially, since I don't know how much your everyday winch weighs either.
