A few additions to make me feel cool.
    Hello everyone,

I purchased and installed the OME Dakar leaf packs April 30th of 2015. I had become annoyed with the squeaking though I know they are known for that. What bugged me more was that my springs had started rusting really bad though I keep my truck clean and live in NV where things typically do not rust. Anyway, I decided to see if OME offered a kit with anti squeak pads so I could install them on the spring packs I have. I figured I would pull them apart and POR-15 them this spring then paint and add the 2nd overload spring back in that I had removed. This started as me trying to get a part # for a retrofit anti-squeak kit. After several emails and the ARB tech telling me to use grease between the leafs I told him I was more aggravated by the rust than the squeaking. He asked when I had purchased them and asked if I could provide him a copy of the invoice along with telling me they do not offer a retrofit anti-squeak kit as the new leafs are drilled to receive them. The invoice was long gone so I contacted @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc where I had purchased everything and they sent me a copy of the invoice in 5 min. I sent that to the ARB tech and he said okay, no problem I will put a set of the redesigned leaf packs in the mail and will throw in the bushings. I was extremely surprised! I said you are going to send me two of the redesigned leaf packs and bushings and I don't even have to pay freight. He said no you should get them in about a week. Sure enough yesterday they arrived. They don't even want the old leafs back so now I can paint and sell those too. (Edit) as my saying I will paint and sell the current springs I have has been misconstrued into me trying to screw someone please know that I mean I can sell the springs I am removing to someone local for what it cost me to bring them up to new standards. Hell I will even help you install them if need be.

I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know ARB did an awesome job standing behind there product for me on this one. Also the new leaf packs are also known for squeaking so I am not sure it will solve that issue but I guess I will grease them like they recommend.

Zero. I keep my old packs, they sent me two new leaf packs and two sets of OME bushings UPS Ground from Jacksonville FL. to Sparks NV free of charge. I did not pay a dime. The leaf springs are 73lbs each.

This makes me glad my truck is littered with ARB products. Great company to do business with, sounds like :D

I think I need to check into this for my 1st gen leafs. Had them less than a year and they have more rust than the originals did with 150k on them.

So ARB is hooking you up with brand new leafs for free, and you're going to paint your defective rusty squeaky ones and re-sell them to an unsuspecting buyer? What a guy!

    Ummm....stuff and more stuff
Mine are squeaking after about 2.5 years. Added some Fluid Film and that helped with the noise issue. However the rust between the leafs are looking pretty bad. I live in a a dry climate and wouldn't expect them to start rusting any much less the amount I have on them.

I have not been disappointed with the performance but I wonder how they will hold up with rust on them.

No I will take my three year old springs apart, coat them with POR-15 and offer them to someone who can't afford a new set at the price it cost me to refurbish them as they are structurally sound and not abused with full disclosure. You have fun being an internet crusader though! I have been a stand up guy on this forum for a decade guy...

That's a little bit different than what you originally said, but sounds good guy. Very nice of you to do the work when you could just give them away and let the new owner do the refurb.

I had a similar experience with Wheelers/ARB. Long story but end of the day I had two complete sets of front suspension, one of which I sold.

Sounds nothing different than what I said. What is incorrect is your jumping to conclusions and ASS-uming I am a dick. I have given away countless parts to member's here and even paid the freight out of my pocket. That is here nor there and yes I will refurbish them because that is the stand up thing to do. I already need to take them apart to put the overload spring back in and I have the POR-15 so why not. I did not post this thread to argue with anyone but I also did not post it to have my reputation put into question by someone who wants to look like a big man at his desk. Try contributing and not being a prick. Hopefully this puts this to bed Chief!

You said you were going to sell the old springs, that's what he is referencing. What's your deal man? Not enough hugs as a kid? Still waiting for Dad to come back from getting that pack of smokes 20 years ago?

Guys you are clearly in the wrong here. Yes I will sell the springs, I never mentioned selling them at a profit or anything. I still have to purchase new hardware and take my time to swap them and that is not free either so if I did choose to sell them at a profit (never has been my plan) it would still be my decision to make and is not to say someone would not be getting a hell of a deal. To jump to the conclusion that I am trying to dump the old ones on someone that is unsuspecting and being shady about it is incorrect and unwarranted. I attempted to let everyone know that ARB stands behind there product and thus deserves our business and to also let people know that have the issue I do that they might be able to get springs from ARB. You know about trucks, now it seems people don't care about the truck as they want this to be a place to pick a fight. The thread can be locked, I can be banned. I do not care! You both are wrong.

My dad is also a stand up person by the way and actually is retired and works for me now. I give him a ride to and from work everyday and he lives 8 houses down from me. I had a fine childhood, I just don't like assholes.
