I’ve Searched and searched maybe I’m searching for the wrong thing but I’m trying to find what are some good locations to mount the ARB quick connect outside of the truck like in the grill I don’t have steel bumpers yet so I can’t do them in the bumper but I don’t wanna have to open the hood every time and I don’t like the under the seat option because if it’s raining I don’t wanna leave my door open. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Not ARB, but I mounted my QC tucked up behind the rear bumper (technically infront of it) on my Tacoma and my Tundra. Just be sure to get a dust cover for it.

Did you have to make a bracket for it?? I was thinking about that also.

Yeah. I just grabbed a piece of angle iron. Drilled one hole to mount the QC and another to mount it to the bumper bracket. Hardest part was making sure it was in a spot that wouldn't strain the tube where it goes into the QC. I think the Tacoma was at an angle, but I don't remember.

I’m going to have to get a hood look at the bumper tomorrow in the light and see how that would go but that’s a good idea… didn’t really think bad bumper I had thought front bumper mainly.. thanks!

Have the Expedition Essentials ARB mount in the bed. Also have a quick disconnect & power switch installed right outside of the cubby door.

Lessons learned - Definitely get the top dust cover, and also since I have a rear steel bumper, I had to insulate the wheel well with foam expanding spray and metallic duct tape to prevent dust from getting in there. I found out the hard way that it doesn't like to run with the inlet filters packed solid with dust. Otherwise its a pretty solid setup

I like this cubby idea but I’m already mounted in the engine bay and the setup now is the bed is built out for sleeping so I’m trying to get the truck doors, hood and tailgate/camper closed if possible.. I do really like that setup though! It’s crazy how dust makes it in every little hole.. I spend hours with foam and rubber trying to seal up the tailgate area from dust and water intrusion.

I ran the line from the engine bay all the way to the driver's side taillight where I installed the ARB tank and and electronic solenoid as a drain. Then I drilled out a hole by my license plate for my quick disconnect. Didn't want it too close to the plate as to cast a shadow at night but also needed to line it up with the metal behind the plastic.

Depending on how much work you want to do. I installed two remote chucks in the front bed cross bar on the driver and passenger side.
The locations are the most center of the truck you can achieve without going into the frame or a roof rack. They have worked out perfectly since the install with absolutely no issues what so ever. Also, most people when they first notice the chucks think it's one of the coolest mods. I get a ton of questions out on the trails about it.

    Here is the install video.

Thanks, I did not realize you has camper shell. You can also look up the Wifey Air system. It is doable with a camper.

Looks killer! I would highly recommend a dust cover with that location. Amazon sells the arb version.
