For anyone looking to do the ARB roof rack and fit kit.. this is the steel Flat Rack, part # 3800180 with the mount kit for 05^ tacoma double cab. Everything fit like “plug and play” and is very nice quality. I didn’t take many install pics but here’s what it looks like when done. It’s got more mount points for various things as well. I have the ARB 2000 awning going on This week as well.

This looks awesome. I was thinking about buying the same rack.

How much was it, and did you have to buy the Tacoma adaptor separately I assume?

Any idea what that front area is for?

You have to buy the Tacoma 05+ mounting kit separately. It has held up fantastic. They did a great job finishing it-I think it’s powdercoat. I used marine grade silicone for the mounting holes.

I get a deal on ARB from my wife so yaaaaa

Any idea if you can get a wind deflector for this? I don't see anything on the ARB website. Also - any idea regarding the purpose of the flat portion on the front of the rack?

    Thanks!

wow did not know ARB had a roof rack

I wonder if Prinsu is better
I hear Prinsu is expensive and that a common alternative is cheaper knockoffs of it or welding one up at home DIY style

I have the ARB and it totaled about 300 cheaper. Better os very relative, I liked the ARB over the prinsu due to the rails around it to hold things in side to side. 20200328_125337.jpg

I had a full size arb flat rack on my 4Runner and it held up great on a road trip up to Canada carrying gear and a RTT

How did you end up mounting your awning? Pics on what that looks like?

Yeah I used the ARB awning mounts. They are just their universal mounts.

This thread definitely helped me make my decision on my ARB rack. If anyone is looking to put a wind deflector on your flat rack, I used a 46” universal deflector from Yakima and it works great! Just thought I’d share this.

Nice! Did you have any clearance issues with the sharkfin antenna? I had to make some spacers for my 2015 because it was hitting.
