Hello everyone, I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro and live in deer country. I recently after owning my new-to-me Taco had a big turkey run out in front of me, 2900.00 damage to grill :( So I want to go with a Summit bumper for front end protection but ARB tells me the adaptive cruise control sensors will be blocked and it will not work. Anyone come across this problem? I cut out a piece of cardboard and covered up the sensor to see if my cruise would work and it works fine, it just will not sense if your coming up on another vehicle and slow you down, but I figure that's what I have eyes for! I would gladly give up the adaptive cruise for the protection the ARB Summit bumper offers, any thoughts on this one, Wayupnorth in plentiful deer country.

I hit a deer in my 2020 Limited, did just over $12k in damages/repair costs and replaced the bumper with this FabFours Avenger bumper. Pre-runner bar crosses directly in front of the sensor and unfortunately does cause intermittent problems. I relocated the sensor slightly lower which didn't seem to be much improvement, but haven't messed with it since. I just long-press the cruise control button and mostly use the traditional "constant" cruise control anyway. Not sure if that answers your question?

Nice bumper, but it doesn't look like its a proper fit.

It actually is, but by design has a slight overlap on the fenders.

Yeah, that photo makes it look more severe than it really is. It does stick out to overlap the fender right there, but you can see the reasoning for it, to protect/deflect anything hitting the bumper close to the fender there. As long as it deflects deer, then I'm happy.

The sensor issue and the no cut is why I went with the C4 bumper. I hit a bird and it put a hole in my bumper. I don’t believe C4 make the bumper anymore. The place that installed the bumper for me said they got a message from C4 a week after my bumper was installed, saying they are not making any longer.

I still can’t believe a bird did 3k of damage. The truck might have had 2000 miles on it at the time.

It's crazy how costly these things are to put back together. Factory plastic ain't cheap.

300 for the bumper. 900 to paint plastic bumper. 900 for a headlight. You don’t notice the light broken very well in photo. Happen about 200 miles on the US side of the Alcan/Alaska highway
