I’ve heard nothing but terrible things about the ARB tire inflator
I doubt it’s the problem but I’ve heard nothing but bad things about the ARB tire inflators!

I couldn't tell from the pic, just trying to help. Sometimes the simplest/stupidest solution is the answer, and it certainly doesn't hurt to suggest it.

Brand new TW group buy. Yeah thats what i thought it would be the best way to go even at $450. Trying to see if Ramon can get me the info on vendor so i can maybe get a refund or replacement but the way these things come from shipping looks like UPS played soccer with it.

Ok so i was just taking it apart and thought i should disconnect each motor one at a time and only one motor is working! So when they dropped the original box it must have damaged that motor!

Does that side get power? I’d check everything again. Throwing away a 500 dollars compressor with the amount of troubleshooting you’ve done is a massive waste of money.

If one motor works swap the connectors and see if the second motor powers up. Or connect power directly.

My install didn’t go smoothly either. But in the end it works fine. Even seated my 37’s.

It's getting power to the plug, I don't think the plugs will reach to the oposite side.

    Hmm.

I had a similar issue and it was because one of the main wires weren’t connected properly. Which caused one motor to not work.

So if you connect the motor directly to 12v it doesn’t work? And you’ve actually measured power at that connector and it’s 0v?

    What hasn't been modified?
Unscrew the air line going into the compressor and take the black cover off. Wiggle and make sure all those connections are good and secure.

I feel like there is nothing wrong with it.

Also I like smittybilt stuff but trading a twin arb for a smitty compressor is pretty funny.

It has power to the connector, i only have a test light to check for power. I will run some jumper wires to the plug straight off the battery and see if there is any change but again the test shows power at the connector

I’d also try what someone above said. Pull off the cover and make sure everything is connected underneath.

If everything is connected and the motor doesn’t work with direct power I’d contact arb.

But I’d say the motor doesn’t work. Not that it was damaged in shipping. ;)

Edit: don’t throw away the arb for the smitty. Just get this one working. Too expensive to waste it.

I'm a bit surprised at the failure mode when one compressor is out. Unless it is losing pressure back through to where that compressor should be generating pressure. It's unfortunate that it can't function once you lose one.

The engineer in me cringes at lack of redundancy as a feature of the product.
