Its most to see how your arrow is coming off your bow. It checks to make sure your arrows are coming straight off your bow and arent coming off side ways for some reason. You put a frame up with a piece of paper in it about 5yrds in front of your bow and shoot at a target behind the paper you will be able to tell by the way it passes through the paper how your arrow is coming off the bow. Ive most seen it done for rest tuning.

Im gonna need to do it for my new bow my arrows seeem to be coming out sidways a bit.

colton. here is what i do. i take a clothhanger, the cheap ones..bend it to make a square, and clip a sheet of paper to it. i jam the coathanger into a log, and put my bowtarget behind it. better if you put everything on a tabletop. i shoot on my knees. i get the paper 6 feet in front of my bow. i shoot a bare arrow, no vanes. pay close attention to hand torque. shoot thru the paper. the paper hole will show you which way the tail of the shaft is going. idea being, you want that arrow to straighten out ASAP! then you play with the arrow rest, nock position until you get perfect holes..then i "walk back tune"..then done.

bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
season here opens Sunday! :p but at this time of the year, it is a bit too hot, and I am a bit too much of a pansy to sit in a stand in that kind of weather. I can't wait for cooler weather! I just put a new set of strings, retied my peep, should be good to go. :)

Im a bowhunter and target shooter.
    I have a:
    Hoyt Katera XL
    Hoyt ProElite
    Mathews Switchback XT

My Fiancee has 2 Hoyt Kateras.

I will be honest Im glad she is in to archery or there is no way I would have been able to spend as much on it as I do. Well that was until I go the taco. Now I have to much fun with the truck and the archery has taken a back seat for awhile. But it is almost huntin time so Im sure priorities will change once again.

no joke, as much as i love bow hunting, it is hard to get excited about
putting on long pants, long sleeves, gloves, and a face mask when the
heat index is above, or close to 100.

NO S#!t, It is uncomfortable. I hunt in shorts under a leaf suit during early season. If its not the heat its the bugs. Thermacell helps with the bugs but not much I can do about the heat.

Year round hunting season here, and no tags, just shoot as much as you want, or as much as you can.

    Lucky! :D

Yeah I'm kinda glad that our season starts in Oct, won't be quite as hot.
Yeah I know what you mean about the arm, I pulled a tendon pretty bad last year and that put me on the sideline for a good while.
