All done! I only painted the two little green pieces that hold the fiber. I took them off to do so. Gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the results.

looks like the windage and elevation is adjusted on the forward piece first then you either have a tape or something where the small metal pin is on the large flat piece. Thats your yardage indicator. perpendicular to that I assume you put a tape or markers if it was new it should have a tape or kit like this pic I found...

I spent some time with it today. It's pretty easy to adjust. Forcused on 20 yards and getting the windage, will do 40 soon to get the tape on. Pretty happy with it.

Thirty yard cold group. Arrow at 6 o’clock is 100 grain Slick Trick. I think me and this Hoyt HyperForce are gonna get along just fine.

Nah, not anymore than any other adjustable sight like this. Honestly have not even noticed the weight of it vs my three pin I had on.

This sight is a tank though. Pretty solid.

Do you have any issues centering the sight ring in the peep with it painted black?

Just found this thread. Found people who even more like me. Bows and trucks.

I got a Mathews Halon and a Elite Victory 37 for Target and I am about to get a recurve. What are y’all shooting?

Been a little while since I posted in here. Shot a local 3d tournament last weekend and placed pretty well - 4th in the hunter unknown distance (out of 30)!.

    Current stable:

Mathews FeatherMax, Mathews LX, Hoyt HyperForce and a Shakespeare Mancos recurve.

FeatherMax is 19 years old. Still quick, 275fps, still fairly quiet. Harsh draw cycle. The LX was hands down my favorite bow of all time. Fantastic draw cycle, fairly quick 270fps, rock solid at full draw, dead quiet. Split a limb in 2014. Put new limbs, strung and cable, bow just was not the same. Decided this year I was done screwing with it. Test drive a lot of bows and ended up with a Hoyt HyperForce. Real nice bow. Great draw, quiet, zero hand shock. Sends a 420 grain arrow at 272fps. 62#, 28-1/2” draw. Bit of a pain to tune, but I think I’m there.

Nice! A traditional Guy. My brother is a national finalist with a recurve(barebow?). I’m just picking one up. Always been a compound guy. Bout to pull the trigger on a Martin Hunter Recurve 60# to hunt with.

I was given my father's Mathews Drenalin recently and I'm looking for a 1 pin sight that can be adjusted for shooting from in the 20-80 yard range. It's been a long time since I've been up to date with archery equipment, so I don't know what's out there. What's everybody using?

I know I lot of bowhunters that use the HHA Optimizer. A couple of posts up is a Cobra single pin that Donut is shooting. Looks like a solid robust sight as well.

Just found this thread, surprised I never noticed it before. I used to own a Golden Eagle Carbine Hawk and I replaced it a while back with a Mathews Z7 Extreme.

I just bought a Cobra. I got it because it was on clearance and looked like a very simple design. A good starting point for me, since my story is pretty similar to yours. I used to shoot years ago and recently decided to get back into archery again.

HHA seem good. My brother likes the Trophy Ridge sights. I probably would have bought a Trophy Ridge React Pro Alpha if I didn't find a deal on what I have now.
