Thanks, yeah just something solid. Don't wanna drop over $200 for one really.

Are those ratchet strap style ones any good? They're pretty cheap.

If anybody is interested I do have this press for sale for $350, it’s a Apple press/w the jack. But it does weigh like 60# so would have to figure out shipping.

I'd love that, but more than I can afford at the moment. Looks like a serious tool.

Thank you, and I absolutely agree. You’re definitely stepping into it with both feet when you get in to this kind of equipment.
It’s the passion we all share for it that makes it worth it.

Like I said, the concept of what has to happen is very basic. I can certainly see that being used as a great basement application

Thinking in the field too, like on a hunt. That's the worse when you get somewhere, like way up in Canada, and you're bow is not working.

    back to bone stock.

We need a special bow press. My current press needs special limb adaptors. I’m buying them soon.

I just found this thread. I bought a PSE Stinger Extreme about 2 months ago. I've been taking it out and practicing every weekend. Eventually I want to use it to hunt but I need to get to a slightly higher weight and more practice first. The only thing that has been a struggle for me is zeroing the 2nd and 3rd pins on the sight. I can dial a rifle no problem but this is giving me a headache.

Pay no attention to the lack of tips on the arrows. This is the only pic I've taken and I hadn't threaded them on yet.

Congratulations and welcome to the brotherhood. What is your drawl weight and what yardages are you wanting to set your 2nd and 3rd pin @?

That's a sick looking bow! I was so close to getting a PSE. I really like their products. Ended up finding a great deal on a Hoyt which I'm very happy with.

Are you going to change anything on it? Maybe a different rest?

55lbs, I'd like to be at 65. I think i want to have my first set at 20 and then probably 30 and 40 yds. Maybe stretch that out to 60 once i get good and comfortable.

Thats just for target shooting. If im hunting i dont plan on taking a shot longer than 30yds.

They're local to me and i liked how it felt in the shop so here we are! As of right now i just need to shoot it more. Its my first bow so i have a lot to learn before I really mess with customizing it.

Please know that if you are turning poundage up and down on your bow, both limb bolts need to be turned exactly the same amount. I do 1 turn on a bolt then 1 turn on the other bolt. Never more than 1 on each. It can really get your tuning all wacky.
    Nice bow!

Yep! Im gonna shoot a lot more before i turn it up any.

The guy that set the bow up was awesome, went over just about every detail one could think of. He won my business for sure.
