Morning hunt update! I saw 7 does but they were 60 yards at the closest. My wife went also but in a better stand with acorns. She saw like 12. Mainly doeburgers and a couple spikes.

Going to my other spot this evening with all the bears and a couple decently reasonable bucks so we will see. You can’t really hunt that place right now in the morning without spooking deer in fields. Definitely being my pistol with me since there are bears with cubs around. I ain’t playing that game!

I’ll let you know when I finally take something down. Sure was so nice to get out finally! Beautiful foggy morning!!!

It’s crazy how different seasons can be in different areas. No luck this evening. Gonna head back to the same spot I was at this morning tomorrow. Hopefully get one there. Today was action packed in the morning at least.

Forgot to pull the card on the one trail cam last Saturday. This is the spot where I shot my doe Saturday evening. My son's stand is about twenty yards to the left of the trail camera.

Saw couple so far. 1 doe 1 nice buck. But he walked straight at me from 100yds to 40yds, ate a couple acorns and walked 90° away from his entry behind trees.
He walked straight in right about where my stabilizer is pointed. Then cut to my right.

Ok.....let's tell a story, with pictures. Last Saturday evening I shot a doe, started trailing. Blood was really good, but after 70 yards or so, into some nasty crap, I thought I would go back and get my son. He'd been texting me, asking if I wanted help, so I figgered why not. At 57 years old, a young strong back is welcome. Anyhow take a look at the trail cam pics and the time stamps.

I didn't go this past weekend because it was mid 80s here. I just don't enjoy sweating, mosquitoes and ticks while I am hunting. This weekend should be much better though - supposed to be a high of 60 on Saturday.
