They just released like 3-4 new bows on Tuesday. They have the Vertix which is very similar to the Triax but 30” ata. Looks pretty nice.

Oh and it goes up to 75 lbs.

That's not a bad deal. Looks like it may not come with a rest but if I remember correctly the bow alone is around $450. Personally, I am skeptical about used bows but the whole package seems to be reasonably priced.
Edit: I think I see a rest on it.

looks like a good deal and plenty of power to shoot a deer if needed. You should be able to take it to any bow shop and get it fitted/tuned to you.

    Did the arrow exit?

Mighta has to fill the lungs and shit first and then work it’s way past the arrow.

Not that it really matters though, she made a great shot and you found it haha.

yeah it was a pass through. about the strangest shot Ive seen. Usually something like this would be gushing blood out. But there was a couple big clots in the chest cavity when I gutted the deer.

I was going to say the same exact thing. When you release the pressure in the thoracic cavity it can take time to bleed. I’ve had multiple deer with good hits that didn’t bleed much either.

Huh, that’s weird haha, oh well though right.
Huh, I’ve never really had to track a deer so I don’t have much experience

a friend shot a doe with a rifle and the fat clotted the hole. There wasnt a drop of blood anywhere. Only thing I heard was it giving its last thrashes, that was by far the weirdest rifle shot Ive seen.

I hope the land owner that borders my property does what he says. They talked about making it hay field...they just havent plowed it yet. Thats where the deer usually run to when they get shot on our property, they run out in the field. This doe my wife shot tried to run back to the woods but didnt make it far for obvious reasons...;)

I had a doe a few years ago that was eating a bunch of leave in the early season and when I shot I think I cut through the esophagus also and green leaves were clotting the hole too. That’s why it’s SO important to watch which direction they go if you can. That way if blood is minimal you can have a direction to go if all else fails.

yeah its really hard to track a deer when theres tons of tracks criss crossing everywhere. The one thing Ive learned is theres tracks and injured deer running tracks. The injured deer skids and stumbles around. Thats basically how I tracked this doe, I found a good skid in the dirt, then a small drop of blood and finally a good blood trail the last 10 feet...

Good well gentlemen, sad to say my season has gotten away from me with nothing to show, not for lack of trying. Ended with 3 draws and one poorly placed shot. So I will hang the bow for a couple months while the .308 gets its chance starting tomorrow morning.
Keep hammering! Good luck everyone. I'll keep you posted.
