Thanks Bob, I’m looking forward to some bitter cold temps now. They will pile into the food then.

At first it may appear that a deer did that, but those are clearly Sasquatch markings!!!

OK, guys....Kinda archery related. My family and I went spotting the other night. My old spotlight was a POS and I eventually blew a fuse for the power outlet/cig lighter. Bought a new spotlight and some replacement fuses. We were out Thursday night and Friday night. Thursday night no issues. Probably used the light for about an hour. Last night, used it for about 10 minutes, blew a fuse. The light is 120 watts at 12VDC, draws 10 amps. There is no flickering of the light, like there is a loose connection. It happens when I go to turn the light on. Bad relay?

Not rechargeable. Runs off the power outlet. The road we were driving on is fairly bumpy, so I thought if there was a short/bad ground or something along those lines I would see a flickering of the light. Only seems to happen when I go to turn it on.

oh that is weird. What brand model is it? Some of those have resistors and or capacitors also. Could be a bad capacitor.

Cyclops Seeker. It runs a halogen bulb. The handle has two screws in it. I guess I'll pop it apart and see whats what.

It sounds like the initial amp draw is to high for your circuit. Have you tried plugging in to another outlet?

Typically I just use the aux power. Thing is, it worked several days ago with numerous on/offs.

I didn’t hunt today because we have a big winter storm coming tomorrow. Since it was so nice out today I decided to make the house a little more festive!!B4C579C1-7D40-41AC-B756-8C95677FDCFE.jpg7327D1B5-4AE1-4139-A4E9-FFC84CAAA83A.jpg

Spent a chunk of the day at the range, guy showed up with a brand new Obsession Bow right as I was loading up to leave. Let me fire a few through it. Very beautiful machining, but seemed heavy to me and definitely no wow factor at all, for me at least. Shot nice though

I think the wow factor will be harder to feel if you have a more modern bow.
When I had my 03 HOYT restrung he had some new Hoyt’s hanging.
While he was adjusting my bow he said to try this one. Don’t remember which one it was.
Shot it once and put it back. He asked what was wrong. I said nothing.
That was a wow factor. My wallet would have said WOW too. Lol

there is still something to be said about proper practice, just because you have an expensive bow doesnt mean you will shoot better or kill an animal any deader;)
