It’s like 80 here today so not real hot. Mosquitoes weren’t bad at all.

    That's not too bad.
Last time I checked my camera I had a few ticks on me and I was covered in spider webs. I hate the woods this time of year.
When I was in my 20's we squirrel hunted all summer. F#@k that.

Same here. Crazy amount of ticks. Miserable heat. By far summer is my least favorite season.

For some reason whenever I try to tip a ladder stand up it falls on my head. The legs always kick out when I get to the middle point..Good thing I only have one and hardly ever move it.

I've only hunted from a ladder stand a couple of times. I still pack a climber. Not sure how many more years I can do it. I need one that weighs about 2 pounds.

I’ve never had any luck from the ladder stand yet( don’t feel real confident sitting in it either) then I use one hang on with a climbing stick and a lone wolf climber strapped to the tree with a climbing stick also.

Does anyone know of a decent climber that weighs 15lbs or less that isn't shitty? Not interested in Lone Wolf, tried it, not for me.
I've used an API Bowhunter for over 20 years and it seems to keep getting heavier.

I've looked at those but never tried one. Is it sturdy or kinda sloppy?
    It's definitely light enough.

I didnt notice it being flimsy, it does have a smaller platform and butt cushion but other than that its decent. I always bring an extra butt cushion regardless.

I dont remember what my first climber weighed but this x-1 was by far lighter, packing in wasnt bad but after sitting and then packing out, I almost left my first climber...it was a heavy clunky thing.

They use to make a lot of them out of steel and they weighed 35-40 pounds. My bowhunter weighs 18 stripped down, prolly 20 how I have it. I love my stand, I'm just getting older and packing it is starting to suck.
