Well damn, now I have to get one. I've found 2 or 3 brand new- pre owned bows with all the bells and whistles for really good price.

I really like my Mathews Z7 Extreme. Might be a while before I upgrade to something newer. 6 1/2 weeks and I hope to be drawing on something nice at my cousin’s in Oklahoma! My luck I won’t see anything at all!

Recently dressed up my well used Fred bear method. Got a new string. Block gold whitetail sight. TR hitman 6” stabilizer. Finally got the upgraded mount bracket from TR for the quiver. Gonna be a great season. Running trail cams tomorrow in VA. Then headed to WV to hang stands and look at cameras.

So one of my buddy’s bean fields had about 5 acres that didn’t come up so we tore it up and planted a mixture of winter wheat, rye grass and turnips . CD68E3AA-ECD2-4341-B3D0-4DF242AF7D8E.jpg4A5286FA-EF46-4D8E-B71E-2208D8BE66CE.jpg

We also found a very effective way of spreading turnip and other small seed. We sprayed about 75 pounds of turnip seed today.305D580C-3A13-4A5A-8F8A-9B4D6A877F56.jpg

I’ve never put salt blocks/protein blocks out before and messed up putting them directly under the feeder. The raccoons used them as a stool to make a mess of the corn. Time to start trapping raccoons. I also moved the blocks away from the feeder. This camera had 558 pictures and 550 of them were raccoons. It’s a first for me with a raccoon problem.

get you some of these...bait with corn or a little seafood flavored cat food. Make sure its wired to a pole/tree good. they come unwound when they trigger it. We've killed about 13 with this trap and couple other ones at night.

I posted a picture from my trailcam of a decent buck. Looking closer at the pictures. There isn't one buck, there's two.

Shot my bow with the new arrows and rest. Wound up putting two arrows touching and I guess I clipped a vane on it and sliced about a 1/4” off it. Nice to see that but also a pain since I just bought these damn things haha.

I bought some trocars last year and haven’t shot anything with one yet. The ones I bought are fixed. Saw the ones you have on a commercial the other day, they look good.

Done a little bush hogging today and got 2 blinds up. First one is where I been getting pictures of the big 8 pt. About a 20 yard shot from the blind to the corn. Looking to the left of the blind is a long strip that goes down to a creek and some bedding. Right behind the feeder is oak trees but the tree line is the property line. Hopefully my wife or I one can get him of something big. I dug out with the loader so there won’t be any grass in the blind.

The second blind should be illegal. Got it on a cool little pinch point coming from a field going to a creek and bedding area. Shot a nice 10 pt out of the tree on top of the hill last year, I was in the tree, not the 10 pt.

This is the left side looking down that hill from that blind. The blind is at the top right of this picture. The center of this picture is the bottom of the hill where the blind is.
