It’s going to be about 30 degrees cooler than when the season started in my unit. Heading out Thursday night to hunt through the weekend. Can’t wait to get out there!

I went on a walk and spotted a couple good places to sit, but its going to be a long day sit, I'll have to get my climber at some point and see if I can find a small enough tree to climb up. I found some good bedding areas for elk. and all the scrapes from lasts year are pretty much filled in....so I need to try and get another camera up and see if I can get a pic of him. Last season there was over 30 scrapes down this trail...I dont know if it was one crazy buck or a bunch of them...

Man I've been saying I was going to move my stand all summer. Probably too late now but then again the deer around my house are fairly used to people, movement, change.:goingcrazy:

    Yea I know.
I called a couple in but not close enough last year.
    Just behind the tree line.
    But very sparse.
Like you to late to scout.
Take my chances here and grab the crossbow for reg archery and firearm.

Move it, the deer won’t care. I just moved one yesterday and just finished trimming shooting lanes and checking stands this morning.

Finished checking stands on one of my leases today and found the other dead buck the landowner was telling me about yesterday. I hope these are the only 2.D34E7C1C-BBE0-4A89-8CB1-25D12FF43363.jpg969E58B3-2D43-459D-9E2D-F2973ED4E986.jpg

My buddy texted me earlier and said he knows a guy who owns 1400 acres in Knox County Missouri and he has already found 50 dead deer on his farm.
