Well it’s a whooping 9 degrees today. Hunted yesterday and missed an 8 point walking out. He ducked the arrow at 40. Took 2 hairs off his back. Seen one small buck and a doe so far.

Not near as cold as some of you guys but for GA this is freezing cold. Wish I was in the woods this morning. I'm a desk jockey for now...1CC116E1-C483-48FB-A750-D194C5E7ED87.jpg

Same here. Their movement patterns were all over the place. I think because the weird weather. I saw bucks, but only one shooter that was to clever for three of us.

Holy crap! Yeah, weather is all messed everywhere right now.

Should be good for rifle season hopefully. Doesn't matter if it's raining or snowing when you got a roof over your head and a good fire.

It was ridiculous. I have been here since 2003 and NEVER seen that happen. The leaves are just now turning and falling. Had a hell of an acorn crop this year though. I have 5 big white oaks in my back yard and we have had deer munching on them since mid to late October. They still have a way to go to clear them all out.

It's kind of crazy hunting with sleet/snow on the ground and half of the leaves are still on the trees.

We also had an ton of acorns in Michigan too. You would fall down the hill in my parents backyard there are so many. Forest is also covered. What I haven't seen is Turkey this year and that worries me. I love turkey hunting.

I've seen this one in the field next to my house twice in the past week. Once at 10:15 am and then at 5:30pm. He has been hanging in a fence row.

The rut is so weird around here. My nephew is hunting 3 miles from our house in one direction and seeing all kinds of chasing. My wife is hunting 3 miles the opposite direction and isn’t seeing much at all. I know we got bucks and does where we hunting though. I told her be patient, when it’s her time to shoot it’ll happen.

This 8 pt is messing with these does but the 9 isn’t and was in there with a small buck. Maybe next week it’ll be game on.

They have impressive racks but they look so young! I'd shoot em both, lol.

Just to warn you guys. Avoid Hawk products. This is their Helium Kickback after about 10 uses and no I am not a huge guy. 175 pounds. Seat post adjustment bolt went right through the seat post. Almost fell out of the tree. Scared the heck out of me. Another reason to always wear safety gear.

Hawk won't answer their phone or respond to any of my emails. Also had my brother try to contact them just to see if they'd answer him, nope. Not that it's their fault, but Midway USA was no help and wouldn't refund me because it was over 90 days old. $200 stand. I ended up replacing it with a Summit which I've pretty happy with.

Thanks for the heads up, sucks they won't stand behind their product.
