Many years ago I hunted some federal land in Missouri. And I get some of the rules...basically, leave everything as you found it. I get it, I really do. Anyhow, one of the rules was that you cannot use a treestand that pierces the bark. So I'm over here hoping my API Bowhunter isn't scratching the tree bad enough for me to get a ticket. What happens a few years later? They came in and logged ito_O

I have a friend who owns a small bow shop and he puts a lot of zebra strings on.

Vapor Trail, 60x, ABB are all good after market strings. Zebra's ok for OEM. Stay away from Winners Choice. Their quality has gone south over the last few years.

I can't fully vouch for them as I just put them on, but so far I think they are great! What drove me to them is the great reviews from people at my bow shop.

They are good strings but highly over priced. It’s the new bcy 454 and no color added for stability and speed. The owner Eric Griggs was a pro shooter for year and with elite. He’s on crack asking that much for a set of strings and cables imo.

I’m a big jbk fan. 2 year warranty, no serving separation, no peep rotation, no stretch. Shot his strings for years and highly recommend him.

Another great option is ArcheryShack outta Anderson sc. local to me, they contacted me a couple years ago when I moved down to try his string. Fantastic quality for the money and he stands behind his work.

I install 100s of string and cables a year while tuning for folks all around the country. Make sure it’s a legit builder and you will be fine. I would stay away from zebra, winners choice, proline, etc.

If y’all ever have any tuning or set up questions feel free to pm. I’m on bowtechs pro staff and have been a staff shooter for years. I also tune a pile of hoyts and Mathews though.

I have Gas Ghost XV strings on my bows, I wanted them because they were white, and look great on black bows, that's about the only reason. They advertise a 3 day turn around, my last set took almost 2 months. I probably won't buy another set, especially for the price. I ended up with an extra set and the loop serving is coming apart on that, impossible to fix. They're nice, but not 50% nicer than other strings
