Hay bales would work fine if you have a bunch of them... On my smaller lot, with a huge hat field in my back yard I use a horse stall mat, they run about $50

That’s a good idea!! I sent a few arrows into my privacy fence when I first started shooting. Gonna have to find one of those for the “off” days

Had a friend blow his retaining clip off his cam and his string jumped the channels while I was standing about 2’ away. I thought surely by the sound that he had fired a cracked arrow and it exploded..

luckily for him and me, he nor his bow suffered any damage

Great advuce all around, thank you. Looks like I have to reach out to Autumn Sky, then do a little PMCS on my arrows.

I never even thought about a horse stall mat, what a great idea! I don't have ant privacy fencing or anything to lean it up against besides my house, so it looks like I'll have to end up going with the block.

    Glad to help!

If I didn’t have my fence I’d build some kind of target holder, at my local range we have these behind targets as we tend to shoot the same spots as over time. If your looking for a larger target check out bulldog targets.

It's really not, but Autumn Skye was recommended by some friends who hunt and is like 10 mins away

x2 the horse stall mat is great, I have up as well.
I got it at Tractor Supply and its fairly easy to cut if you wanted to half it and double up.

Congrats!!! My son shot a doe a few years back that was all by herself. We watched her for 20 minutes till she offered a shot. She was full of milk. She was the only deer around.
