    The 40 is going to auction and I heard they were asking $6500 per acre for the 153 which has quite a bit of tillable but I think that’s too much, maybe 5-5500.

    That’s cheap to what it is here, starting around $10k an acre where we are. They put a development in across from us, 84 houses on 1/2 acre lots, $86k for a 1/2 lot :eek: all the farms around here are being developed. It sucks, it’s why we’re trying to sell and find us 25ish acres 45 minutes away.

    There is a small 7 lot subdivision about 2 miles from me .Each lot is around 3acres . They are asking over $100k per lot because it come with lake rights o_O

    What is getting an out of state tag for Illinois like? I have always heard it was a pain to get a tag and expensive enough to keep me in Missouri. There is some private that family owns that I could hunt in Illinois.

    It's over the counter and very easy, just very $$. I buy mine at a Walmart in Missouri, just need drivers license and money. A combo (one buck, one doe...archery) is right at $400, then you must purchase a small game hunting license ($50) and a habitat stamp ($5). The whole process takes about 10 minutes. After purchading all of this you can also buy as many doe tags as you want for $25 each.

    I know it's expensive but it's my thing I look forward to the most all year. I just pretend it's an extra car payment and go on about my business.
