Walked a few miles looking for sheds over the weekend and found nothing till I was driving home and found a dead buck in the ditch

 

Any antlers?

 

Looked a lot bigger when I first passed him. Pretty beat up and stinky so he must have been there a while

 

Id saw the antler off..lol

 

had to do some searching to find any laws in Mississippi about deadheads or roadkill deer and I couldn’t find anything... I grabbed a hacksaw and figured he wouldn’t be needing it anymore. Pretty cool for a little antler it has two nubs around the base that could have turned into something had he gotten another year. I am so wonder if he busted the tine off before getting hit by a car because of the darker coloring of it? Who knows I just want to get a set to rattle with.

 

Has anyone ever gotten an X Zone tag in CA? My family has a cabin in X9A and it’s such an awesome zone but seems like a waste to try for a tag.

That's a good deal on a great bow! What setup are you looking at?

 

Yeah and I hate to sell it, but its a nice setup for someone getting into the sport without breaking the bank.
I've shot pretty much all of the new bows and I'm leaning towards the Matthews V3 or Bowtech Solution. But then I think about the Ventum 30, that shot fairly decent too.
HAHA....its nit-picky things nowadays since the bow companies have all done a great job this year.

I also dont mind keeping my Reign haha!

 

My buddy and I found 4 sheds today.

 

I found another dead one while driving. I think most if not all are still holding here but I’ll probably put some miles in this weekend at some draw hunt areas and see if I can turn something up.

 

Friend of mine came by the store and ask if we wanted this. Heck yeah! This thing is huge.

 

Hello everyone, new to TW. Glad I found this thread. Avid bow hunter, try to travel and hunt anywhere from Canada to S. Texas, as much as I can.

I got a Blue Lacey puppy, that at 8 weeks old found first buck (axis) (pictures to come when I get off work computer, and off work) That if anyone around Waco ever needs help, will be glad to come work dog. Also, if anyone in Texas has any exotic meat hunts, I'm interested to hunt in next couple weeks, and try to work dog more. Thanks

Well, I figured out how to do pictures. Here are hunting pictures from the last 3-4 years. Some pictures are bad because I had to screen shot off phone because wifi offshore GoM won't let me download from the cloud. So here's photo dump...will try to put dates/weapon with each photo.

Pheasant hunt Corsicana Texas, I can't remember outfitter. Google pheasant hunts Corsicana, Tx to find. Also, if you go check out ole Mexican Inn in Corsicana great place.
Mule deer, Texas panhandle. I want to say 15 or 16, was still fat but was good for cold hunt. Can see ice off everything? Muley was free range, tagged by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Sent tracking collar back in.
Ram hunt spring 2019, Mountain home, Tx. horrible outfitter, but first ram with bow!!
Second Axis buck. Freer, Tx. Also, first time I worked puppy (Kimber) on blood, 8 weeks old.

First white tail with a bow, Jan 2018, would of been and 11, but broke tip of right main beam. Great dang experience though. Freer, TX The big STUD, shot Oct 2019, Freer, TX 15 point scored 168 and some change. Heart still beats faster when I see pictures.
