Regarding scent blocking products: They are a great help, but are no replacement for sound hunting skills and proper stand selection. We had a good friend in our camp, a union pipefitter by trade, who would hunt in the same coveralls that he wore while pipefighting in the chemical plants. Gary out-scored us all almost ever year since 1975 wearing those same chemical-laden insulated coveralls, or their replacements. He wore his same work boots too!

I think it’s more about human body odor.

Gotta hope those guys don't go nocturnal before opening day.

First thing Gary would do when he got settled in his stand was to break out a big fattie and fire it up. He still came out of the woods with meat. Again, there is no replacement for raw hunting craft and woods intelligence. He was a natural, should have been born 200 years ago. Some people are hardwired to hunt, some people stretch hides.

    And of course, luck.

IN the tree. THREE ziplock bags, two gallon size, one inside the other. If you end up using it as a hand warmer, please don't tell us.

Nothing should bring you out of the tree except meat on the ground.

My 6’2 250lb ass ain’t shitting in a wag bag 20’ up in a tree.

however, I will sit up there in complete misery if I feel like my chances of seeing something is high. Did it this past weekend and just about crapped my pants on the hike out.
