Remember when you use to have your bow locked up while walking in and out in the dark? I never did that:anonymous:

Saw a new report a couple of weeks ago where someone's doorbell camera recorded a cougar walking across their front yard, in a residential neighborhood in Des Moines IA. One of my neighbors got out of his truck the other night and said he started hearing what he described as a "moaning" sound coming from around the corner of his house. He said he then saw a flash as a cougar bolted from behind his house. Said it was less than 20 feet from him before it decided to bolt, must have been casing the backyard when he drove up. That's five blocks from here. We don't have a hog problem here, unlike every other place in Texas. Because cougar. There are some hogs, but so few as to not be a problem. The cougar and bobcat keep them in check.

I agree, I almost never leave the house without my cc gun, but I can’t carry while bow hunting.

Up until a few years ago, the Pennsylvania Game Commission prohibited us from CCW during archery season. Never stopped me since the key word is CONCEALED. Run into a number of @$$holes in the woods. Always felt safer with my XDm or Range Officer tucked away.

You’ll never see either coming if they are on the hunt
