That's a great bow! My brother in law has one and it's like holding a damn rocket in your hand. Super fast, super smooth and super, SUPER quiet.

Thanks man I'm loving it so far! Draw cycle isn't as smooth as my old Hoyt Spyder 34 or my buddy's Elite. But a very forgiving bow and wicked fast! I shot another one just like mine with added back weights on it and it makes a world of difference. Yeah it makes the bow heavy but it doesn't budge a millimeter after the shot. It sits dead in your hand. Worth every ounce if you can get used to the weight. I can't wait to get some on mine.

I know it is insane. They took over the land from the deer though. Yeah right, I could not afford a tag from a rancher! Maybe if I was ever for a trophy but for some meat... way too much.

Haha I can only imagine! damn I need to find this watering hole for November turkey hunt haha

If you have a tag I will send you the cords...I actually have them all saved since I had to track my bull out of that hole. I know those birds are roosting in the trees to the South.

Fair warning: There is an Angus bull on that piece of forest that will plow you into the ground...He's not a happy camper

That isn't terrible for a complete setup. Lots of bare bows are in the $1000 range give or take a little.

True statement. I got a deal on my '15 Carbon Overdrive and I still ended up paying $800

Like these new compound bows that are like $1300/$1800 so they can make them as light as possible so we can throw all that weight back on them because we need them heavy for stability

But then again, I'm looking at a $1500 scope, so I will keep my mouth shut, I guess it's all in what you need it for

All those extra features and advantages are nice to have but all that matters at the end of the day is whether or not it's gonna put your game on the ground. I will take my $300/400 bow and the extra cash in my pocket, because I know I can still double lung a whitetail with it at 40 yards.

That'd be awesome! Yup got a tag for if I saw one deer hunting... didn't see either.
Thanks for the warning! Would rather not be pummeled by a bull

Not pointed at you, but It doesnt matter if you have a $1800 bow if you can aim worth a crap...I think theres reasonable and ridiculous. Sure they are coming out with faster and faster bows...but you really dont need that much speed especially out to 40yds.

IMG_1418.jpg IMG_1417.jpg IMG_1412.jpg IMG_1429.jpg IMG_1425.jpg Went on a walk yesterday and had a split race, ended up treeing a little bear up on top of the mountain with all of the dogs but 2. Those 2 bayed had bayed this boar up, so we pulled the other dogs off in a hurry and ran down the mountain and dump them with the other dogs. Bayed him for another 30 mins until he treed. Shot gun slug destroyed him.

Did the same thing today, I think we caught the same little bear, pulled the dogs off and walked to the top of the mountain and started another one. IMG_1439.jpg

This is archery related because this bear had an arrow going through his back strap and into his. Back leg, found a muzzy broad head there.
