I heard 0 gunshots today. My neighbor did have a guy with a kid hunting on his ground, I talked to them for a little bit.

Man, i wish that was the case in Idaho, i really had so many good hunts messed up by dumbasses. Granted i only hunted close to where i lived but still for what the area was, people were stupid.

One example, Thousands of acres to hunt skid trails everywhere where do two dumbasses sit on their atvs and talk loud reving their engines? 80yds from where i parked my atv! Me and a buddy almost got into a shootout! Had i had an AR with me it would have been game on! We just sat there pistols drawn, till they left

People just suck. I've (somewhat) figured out how to get away from them in my area...these same parking spots will be loaded with trucks in a couple of weeks, right up until the gun seasons end.

I love hunting, I just don't like killing things. But I enjoy the meat far more than the store meat, so I do it. The time in the woods for me makes me much happier than pulling the trigger and all the work that comes after it. But it is what it is.

Well this season is off to a horrible start for me. Fell down the stairs at home and cracked a rib a couple weeks ago, now the wife and I both have Covid. The only thing keeping me positive is I have vacation the first two weeks of November. It’s hard not to be out there with this cold front tho.:annoyed:

Rest & fluids. Lots of fluids. As much as it sux, get up an move around from time to time. If you can, keep an eye on your O2 sats. And yeah, the vid was way worse than my wife and I expected.

Yea Covid got me for the first time 3 months ago. Like rtk said, lots of fluids and rest. There will be a day where you feel slightly better.. don’t take the bait and try to do anything even moderately strenuous cause it’ll tank you the next day. Ask me how I know :anonymous:

Thanks guys. Wife tested positive Saturday and I did Sunday. When work told me I had to quarantine for the week,in the back of my mind I was thinking good I’ll be in the tree by Thursday for the cold front. But the way I woke this morning shaking and freezing cold with a 102 temp. I just want my mommy. Shoot straight everyone

Yep it was 3 days of that for me then I gradually felt better. It was nearly two weeks before I had my strength back fully

I’m 36 and healthy and it whooped me like I had never experience before

Ok, this is just for informational purposes only. Covid went thru my family at Christmas. Daughter, son, his girlfriend... Wife tested postive on 27-Dec. Flu like symptons, extreme lower back pain, which is what sent her to the doctors. Gave her 'roids for that, and within a few days she was a functioning human. I tested positve on 30-Dec. Xray on 03-Jan showed pneumonia. By the 7th I was in the hospital on 6L of O2. The had me on anti-virals and 'roids. When I went in my 02 sats were in the mid 80's, not good. When I was discharged on the 14th it was in the low 90's on 2L of O2. A week later it was mid to upper 90's and a week after that it was upper 90's and no O2.

Started working from home on 18-Jan and retured the the office (limited) on 15-Feb. I had just turned 60 in December. I work out, lift, run, hike with a pack, kayak, bike...pretty decent shape. And it kicked my ass. I only share this not to scare anyone, but to not underestimate this damn lil bug. Listen to your body. Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, get your butt to the ER. And like I said, rest, fluids, and move around a bit from time to time. Force your lungs to work a bit harder.

And prayers for a quick recovery!

Meat definitely makes it all better. I try to stock enough venison and wild hog to fill the red meat/pork need of us for the year and processing is the part that makes me question my decisions every time. It gets grueling towards the end of the season but seeing thats freezer stuffed full makes it all worth while.
