After these last two seasons, I'm thinking anything would be better than Holy Shelter and Angola.

    Best of luck!

Holly shelter is a joke with people hunting on top of each other and people running deer dogs. You couldn’t pay me enough money to hunt there again

I've never seen a dead deer, but I've seen plenty of pickups parked along the road 50 yards away from each other with the drivers standing at the tailgate, 12 gauge in hand.

The Saturday of the last week of archery my wife and I get walked up on by 4 guys trying to get to "their" spot for blackpowder, which didn't start for another week.

I did finally see a few squirrels for the first time in there this archery season.

Welp, I bought a new Lone Wolf climber this year; there's several things that I love about it, and maybe 2 things that I don't love. Those 2 things are deal breakers for me...so it's going up for sale. Sticking with my API bowhunter until I'm unable to climb a tree.

When you angle it to climb, the band gets caught in the bark, its almost impossible to break free.
Also, my API will climb bigger and smaller trees; I bounce around all over the place, I dont need a picky treestand.
It packs great, the grip on the tree is amazing, its extremely easy to use...its just not for me.

    How much?

Currently using a Summit Bushmaster Open Shot but it's noisy setting it up on tree.

I didn’t like how “spongy” the belt felt when I was climbing. Nor did I like it getting hung up on the bark as well. I use mostly lone wolf sticks and hang ons now. I still have my Loggy I bought in 97. Light, folds flat, quiet, at least quiet enough I was able to climb down with deer 40 yards away. And when the over center buckle was latched. Rock. Solid.

I think I paid just over $400 for it (gotta check), was going to try to get $325 for it. I used it one day, thats it.

My buddy still uses a Loggy he's had for....years, but he hugs the tree when climbing.
