Anyone in here do any "urban" hunting? Funny enough, I see more deer on this 9 acre plot behind a house I have permission on, than in the other (100+ acre) spot I usually hunt. It doesn't quite have everything you'd ever want for a hunting property, but its definitely a deer highway for those deer moving between the neighboring properties that have some better deer holding features. I stuck a trail cam out there last year, and have patterned their favorite trails, and smoked a doe this last weekend. A 50 yd drag back to the driveway was beyond wonderful too lol.

Best experience bow hunting I’ve had is on a 10acre lot behind a garden center in Buffalo NY. Deer were literally all over the place during the height of the rut. So yea, you’re certainly on to something.

I had a few nice bucks regularly passing through last year, and have only seen a few younger bucks on camera the past few weeks, but I definitely think I've nailed down the one major 80 yard section of the property they're regularly using, so I'm hoping to catch one walking through this year. This doe I just shot is only my 3rd archery harvest, and it was definitely a cooler experience than the others, outside of the 1st being my 1st of course. This was also my first harvest hunting from a saddle, so that added to the experience.

so my tiny spot is about 5 acres on a 17 acre piece of property, but it's a swath of woods on 3 sides, so all mine are pass thru deer

Hell my 160 in Texas is long and skinny. Some bedding areas but it’s a pass through for deer coming off the 10k acre outfitter I share a couple fence lines with

I guess a perk of my spot is the entire area is pretty residential for the most part. This house just happens to be on the side of the road with woods backing up to it, and on the far backside of the property, a major highway not too far away. Basically just a decent sliver of woods between a major roadway and houses, that I assume creates a nice funnel for these deer to use. I'm definitely a fan of the area, and will probably try to secure a few more areas like it.
