Ah yes, the joys of hunting public land continue. Got to my stand at 545am. Gear up… somethings not right. Yup trail cam is gone. I’ve had one here for 11 years. There’s two vehicles where I park. I believe one now hunts this area. We WILL be having a conversation.

I. Hate. People.

 

Oh wow..

There’s only a few things in this life that I truly hate.. top of that list is a thief

 

30-40 mph winds here today but I’ll prolly see more deer here than I would at home.

Question

Is there a reason you have your bow face down?
I tried both ways and to me it’s so much easier facing up. I just reach over and I have it secured and pointable in one motion. Just curious..

 

I just like hanging it by the handle. If I see or hear a deer coming my way I grab it and lay it in my lap.

The sway of a tree in those winds when you’re up a tree 20’ is a really uncomfortable feeling lol

When I was much younger I never used a lifeline or harness…What a dumbass I was!!

 

Yea same here buddy.. then for the longest time I didn’t use a line while climbing. I do both now. I ain’t no spring chicken and falling hurts more than it did when I was 16 plus I’m pretty sure my wife would be mad at me if I died cause I was being stupid
