Congrats! You’re a smart man using the jet sled. I use it and it’s unstoppable and glides over everything! Way better than a cart.

    Public land 101....my afternoon....

Climbed up at 2pm, same tree I missed a giant from last year. :anonymous:

I'm hunting about 300 yards from a boat ramp on this tiny little river thats about 4' wide and maybe a foot deep.

    2:45 small buck walks by.

    3pm spike walks by.

3:10, apparently some idiot is stuck on the boat ramp because...well, because the river is extremely low and the boat ramp is covered in mud. He spends the better part of an hour spinning his tires.

3:15, I hear random dogs barking in the thicket that the deer (are suppose to) come out of.

3:45, I hear truck doors banging and guys talking....crows roost in this area and boy do these folks love their crow shooting!!!

3:50, I hear the electronic crow call belching out its tunes (who knew they made electronic crow calls :notsure:)

4pm, dude that (finally) launched his boat comes running up the ditch river alst the while screaming his outboard and banging off of logs. I'm hunting exactly 25 yards (rangefinder) from the edge of the river; he got hung up on a log right under me and spends about 10 minutes trying to win the 'Loudest Person In The County' award. (He won, uncontested).

4:15, they start shooting the crows. And shooting. And shooting. About 200 yards from me.

4:20, I call my wife (whilst still in the tree) and let her know I'll be home shortly....:pout:

    Tomorrow is a new day!!!:101010:

Randoms from this fine fine trip.....

I knew better than to hunt there on a weekend, but the wind was perfect and its one if my closer spots from my house. It wont happen again, I'm going out in my swamp tomorrow (although I'm sure its completely dry), I've never seen anyone there, and never seen a vehicle in the parking area. :fingerscrossed:

    Greatest hunting story ever!

never understood shooting crows. Had uncles that did it when I was a kid. They always told me it was practice for duck season which I guess maybe that makes sense
