Well, Dennis, at least my R15 strap lasted longer than your R10 did!!!! Same exact situation.....do you have an estimate on how much it will cost to fix it??? What exact damage was done???

My Mathews DXT, made in 2008 works as it did brand new, but torn rotator cuff and biceps on same arm have me using the crossbow. May try to get the Mathews cranked down to 50 lbs. next spring/summer and see if I can shoot it at that weight.

my 10 point is a crossbow, saw them at the Harrisburg Show in Pa. paid $900.00 22 yrs ago, got my doctor to give me a note and gotta permit to use it. permit not needed now in murrilin.but, it has been a devastating harvest machine, as is all the new ones that are out there.

OK - talked to my local archery shop yesterday - opens at noon today - will be taking the bow over this afternoon. Still pissed at Ravin for lack of communication. Anyway, I did cool down after the communications with my buddy and this morning I was able to unspool the strap to see the damage to it....stitching deteriorated or attachment to itself (not sure how) failed.

Pics of end of strap attached for your enjoyment. The strap would have wrapped around the horizontal black pin in the trigger lock piece (I think it is called that??) PXL_20221116_154337063.jpg PXL_20221116_154330558.jpg

Buddy that works at a taxidermy place is gonna tan him. Now I’m just sitting telling myself the 308 that I just sent down range didn’t scare off every animal in a square mile :anonymous:

My cousin got it done about 150 yds from me. Saw it take off, run 50ish yards and then keel over.
