Looks like i can finally join this thread. :bananadance: Santa brought our 5 year old his Diamond Atomic bow last year, so he's been shooting since then. I finally got the itch a few days ago while at the local bow shop and picked up a Mission Switch and feels great to be shooting a bow after about a 20 year break. Won't be doing any trophy hunting, just going to be getting meat in the freezer. Best part is both my kids love it and are already itching to get out and hunt.

I’ll start to hit it hard this week. Past week has been inlines for doe, with Thursday, Friday, & Saturday being junior/senior rifle hunt for doe as well. Just not a fan of camo, scoped rifles, combined with one or two of the other guys that hunt the property. When he relays a story of last years rifle season, hearing movement in some thick stuff, flipping the safety off and scoping it out, I’ll pass.

Speaking of rain and hunting. I finally made the switch to contacts at 37 years old so I can finally hunt in the rain and be able to see!

When you’re limited on time, especially out west, it’s always a bummer to burn a day due to rain. Buddies all stay out, but with glasses I always headed back in

I made the switch when I was 50. That was 12 years ago. Wish I’d done it sooner. I usually wear just one in my dominant eye. That way distance is clear and I can still read. It’s amazing how the eyes work.
