Looking to get back into fun backyard target shooting with a recurve. Hopefully for $100.00 under for the bow… would someone recommend a Bear Cub vs a Ben Pearson puma and or colt? 60/62 inch now with a 28-28.75 inch draw. Maybe around 30- 40 lbs pull or so

Not an expert at recurve shooting but if you have long arms, I would go with the lighter draw weight bow. Draw weight stacks up the past the 28" listed. If you're more experienced go slightly heavier. Hope you can relax and enjoy, I feel it's easier than golf, but like most sports repetition matters.

I'd bump the budget a bit to ~$150 or so. Look at a Samick Sage or Galaxy takedown recurve. With it being a takedown, you can start with 30lb (or lower) limbs to start, then move to 45 and up if you want to bowhunt.

Them peak meals are really good. Actually most Peak products are pretty solid and proven.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I've got an old recurve bow that i have used on some targets a few times. No idea of brand or anything about it really. My dad said it was 45lb draw that he hunted with it back in the 60s. Lol.

Got a pair of Genesis compound bows for my kids to do targets with. Those seem to be pretty good so far for getting them into it.

If you have Sierra Trading around you...check their for Peak meals or any others for that matter. When I was prepping for AZ elk last year we found a ton of peak meals cheaper than what Peak had on sale on their own site! Best part was, anything we didn't use, we returned after we got back!

Death wish and black rifle are my two favorite coffees, especially in the backcountry
