    So its a tough hunt here...mainly because theres lots idiots near me shoot any thing, move too much or too soon in stands etc. Been a lot of uneventful mornings and evening "sits" I take off a day and they come in:rolleyes:. So today was a cool 47° started out uneventful slight breeze.

    The Leaves are getting thick so easy to hear stuff. I start hearing squirrels and nothing else. So i pull my phone out and surf the internet. I havent even looked away for a min and look up and yearling fawn is at the bait pile...i didnt hear a step! It was like she just appeared:eek: and i look in the woods to left and i see a doe! My heart races and of course shes in a bunch of trees and doesnt stop.
    So inside voice i tell myself dont move dont move. About 1 minute passes and a buck pops out trailing that doe! He doesnt have a clue im. There but in some sticks where i dont have a shot. I sneak my range finder out and range him 30yds. Finally after about 5 minutes of standing he walks off towards where the doe went. I had cleared a shooting lane and i pop him broadside shot. He drops but is dragging his back legs.

    So i get out of my blind and load another bolt. I go trail him cuz i didnt want him suffering. I find him and hes still alive so i pop him again double lung. Text wife and got the dog to get some trailing practice in. The pup got on trail and found him without my coaxing. Guess she was just as excited as me!
    Got him gutted and off to processor.
