That's awesome @wilcam47 that's a wicked awesome 10pt idk what it is but I can't ever get a pic of a 10 or anything over 8 actually and I think there some what mature... maybe it's the genetics of the area who knows. Another of my 1 and 2

Struck out today in grand fashion. I saw two does with their babies in the morning, but nothing else. I stayed out until about 2pm and headed back to camp. Tried again in the afternoon in a different location, but only saw does again. As I'm headed back home, I take a back way and drive up on 3 bucks having a meeting about 30 yards away. I immediately stop my truck, get out, and try to cut them off near the tree line. They bolt the opposite direction so I try another path to cut them off. It worked! A doe and her big antlered boyfriend walk up within 20-30 yards, but from where I'm at I didn't have a shot. The doe ran ahead a little bit so I stayed put and kept my eye on the buck. The wind was blowing directly into me and he had no idea where I was. Then I made a rookie mistake and moved. The gig was up. He heard and/or saw me and left as quick as he showed up.

Even though I didn't fill the tag today, there are many more days left in the season and I'm excited to go after him again next weekend. I was so close!

I hate making rookie mistakes...but they happen. I missed a nice bull elk because of rookie mistakes....:annoyed::pout: but eventually it all balances out. At least thats what I tell myself:)

It's the thrill of the hunt, and being out in nature that keeps us coming back for more!

Ive seen some neat stuff just sitting in the blind or ladder stand. I still love popping a deer with an arrow...rifle is still good too but not as much of a rush as a bow shot!

I just came out of the stand from coyote hunting, sadly didn't see anything or that's a good thing depending on how you look at it. Used my new ISOtec predator caller, it was pretty damn good other than the fact I didn't see anything, LOL it still made my skin crawl though hearing them sounds in the woods, LOL

If you spend time on stand you get to see alot of cool things. Bow is my favorite way to hunt also!

I had a nasty turkey buzzard spot me in a tree stand and landed about 60yds away, saw me and tried to land above me and deliberately try to poop on me!! lucky for me the wind was blowing just enough to move the poop 3 feet to my left!

it's usually the blue jays that spot you and make all kinds of noise!
