    Terrible news!
    wishing the best for him.

I always wore one when I used the climber and now with the ladder.
It's required equipment in the Watershed controlled hunt area I frequent.
    That's a good thing.

I have a Hunters Safety System harness.
Nothing fancy, easy to put on and built pretty solid.

Sorry to hear, hope the recovery is fast.

If I go up more than 6' I'm in my harness. Wife demands it, safety gator agrees.

He was released from the hospital tonight. I think it was extreme luck he didn't have to have surgery.

He's 19 so lets hope he heals up quickly with no lifetime issues.

Found out his stand ended up giving way because one of the cables snapped.

many many years ago I fell while putting ladder stand sections up, fell not much more than 10ft. Black and blue under both arms from elbow to armpit from hitting branches on the way down, was on a steep slope which helped(luckily) with impact(more of a slide than ankle-and-knee breaking sudden stop). Had on knee high lace up leather boots that allowed me to get away with two sprained ankles. Since that time forty years ago always worn a harness. I was lucky....

Before being discharged from the hospital on Wednesday they ran a new set of X-rays. His clavicle was in three pieces and the bones were maintaining a separation, so the Ortho decided to go in and place two plates.

I guess my cousin complained of pain in his wrist the whole time in the hospital but people were more concerned with this upper body injuries they never did anything about it, but they did take images.

Well when the ortho was in putting the plates in they had all his X-rays in the OR. Ortho noticed he had a broken wrist.

Poor kid woke up from surgery with one arm in a sling and one arm in a cast.
