i whitetail hunt on sevral family farms in north carolina, we are pretty strict on what we shoot there. i got that ram at one of those fenced in places, i just wanted to go once, it was pretty fun. it would be no fun with a gun. the place i went was in tn. they had like 3,000 acres. i just shot a ram b/c it was the cheapest thing they had. it made a killer mount. i actually got two. it was neat to see all the diffrent animals. i am going bow hunting for black bear in alberta, the third week of may 2010. i have been saving up for a trip like that for years. a great site for bow hunting that i am also a member of is archerytalk.com. you can find out everything you need to know about bowhunting, target, good places to hunt, etc. it is set up just like tacoma world.

I used to be, ran into some financial issues (dirt poor after loosing my job a long while ago) and had to sell off most of the things I didn't need which included my Browning compound bow. I haven't gotten back into it because I was living in a city apartment, but finally got a place with a big yard and I can set up a range out back, so I'm going to get back into it. I'm switching back and forth between wanting a compound again or going with an old school recurve.

I bow hunt and punch paper all winter long. Just got back from the ARRO show in Columbus, OH. I worked it with a friend who has an archery backstop that is just an awesome product to set up behind your block or silhouette target if you live in a populated area (so your neighbors don't freak out!!)

We shoot twice a week in the Winter months here in Minnesota and hunt all Fall. Mathews Legacy for me.

    I've lost count....

    Heck ya!

The special late deer season (antlerless only) is still open in my locality in VA....it runs through March 27th. I plan on harvesting 1 more with the bow and then hanging up the Diamond Black Ice so I can start getting ready for Spring Gobbler season.

I'm using a TRU Ball Stinger release. Great release and holds good.
