I dont ever have my $hit together. One part is because when hunting season comes along, I have to try and get my wife to get a deer, other part is fighting for position in the woods with other hunters while I take care of scent control and quiet and other hunters come in smoking a cigarette or talking like they are having a Sunday stroll on the beach!o_O to name a few things...

I thought Idaho was supposed to be great for hunting with tons of open land?!

Theres lots to hunt, but my area is gets crowded a lot. Yet a lot of animals are taken from this area. (lots of road hunters) come in last 30 minutes of legal shooting light trying to "jump" an elk...While it works in some cases, most the time its not effective way to hunt elk. You may happen to jump a nice doe or once in a while jump a nice buck.

Man road hunting is so frowned upon here in the East. It's crazy how different the attitudes are.

I hunt a 100 acre strip of woods that 4 other guys have access to. We obviously coordinate but sometimes it feels too crowded.

I'm hoping to come to Idaho or Colorado for Elk in 2019.

Definitely not legal, but few game wardens around for a large area. So the odds of someone actually getting caught is slim so many risk it. I like going to my hunting spot and have the animals come to me. but others scare them out when they ride up to the hunting spots rather than park and walk in a ways...boils down to laziness. While I cant climb hills like I used to, I still walk in a ways and set and wait for them...Usually have good success, This past year/season was prob the worst for hangups--some me some other hunters. Lots of opportunities just have to get out and avoid the high traffic areas.

Is a 20lbs recurve good enough for rabbit? Also should I use field tips or broadheads

I dont know if theres any specific rules in your state. I know they have minimum amounts for deer in most states, I dont know about rabbit. But you prob want to use blunt tip.

    The mechanicals are
    Dead Ringer Trauma’s

    03EF350E-8CD5-4E4C-B345-F8E4079E253F.jpg

    3”cutting surface.
Fly very similar to field points.

My cross bow uses Dead Ringer Super Freak X-Tream. Similar to these trama’s.

They punch a hole the size of your fist. We have to use dummy heads because they destroy the targets.
This is my first year with them personally but I did waste one and I finished off my small target box.. lol
My boy is a pro staff hunter and his partner use them and they really do the job.
    Very reliable.
