Archery TW meet feeler

I got a bow for xmas and after posting pics of it there seems to be quite a few people who like to shoot bows. I'm thinking of getting a group together for a TW meet at the archery range in Chandler.

I have not set a date yet or even thought about it. Once I get an idea of who is interested I'll work on setting up something and see if I need to make arrangements with the park.

There is plenty of parking, dog parks, kid parks, and other things to do as well as archery.

 

I would be in! its so hard to find someone to shoot with this is a great idea

 

Sweet! If you are ever on my side of town and want to shoot let me know. I'm looking for people to help me learn to shoot this fucker better. Plus I need to sight it in still....

 

I'm in for this. I go to Usery Pass archery range all the time. It's great.

my shop is in Apache junction i have a 3D target and a big Styrofoam block if you want to ever come by and sight it here you're more then welcome

My sister and her bf put a 3d deer target in our side yard, they come over and shoot every now and then because their yard is too small. My sister got a deer last year, first time hunting too

 

I need some string time.

 

Sounds promising so far! I'll start talking to the park to see if we can reserve it for a day.

Looks like we got about 7-10 people interested in going so far.

 

i live pretty close to that park. i'd come out to watch.

 

There is tons of parking so I figured anyone can come out and hang out. There is lots to do there. I just wanted to get an idea of how many shooters we'll have so I can request a few lanes if they allow it.

I've seen lots of young archers which shoot off to the right and the primary range targets are on the left. 10-75 yards. The scheduled events are also in that calendar.even if they won't let us reserve it possibly, we still will have some good shooting.

Lots to do there frisbee golf and one of the best dog parks in the valley.

I will bring some new paper targets.

Had a great time today! Thanks for helping me sight it in. As for an update I need to find a day where the archery club isn't there. I'll get their list and post dates here soon.

 

Ok talked to city and there is no need to make reservations. We just pick a date and show up.

I'm figuring a Saturday or Sunday for obvious reasons. What works best for everyone?
