I am assuming that since my B110's limit my droop and I have no need for the added flex of a relocate due to my usage I really don't have a need for limit straps? Or are they suggested to keep from over extending the B110's?

What length brake lines is everyone running? I have some +8” I had planned on using with a 63 swap, but think they might be a tad overkill...?

I have 4+ and they are not long enough with the 14" shocks so I'd keep those 8+ lines you have.

You dont really want your shocks to be the limiting factor in your down travel. Think about it, when fully extended and floating a tire in the air, all the weight of your axle is coming down on that shock. Better to have that force on a strap than the shock. That said, I have been running b110s with a shackle flip, without straps, for at least 3 years and they are without a doubt the limiting factor. No issues. Yet. They aren't exactly an expensive shock so I havent been too worried about busting them up knowing I was doing this relocate. $1600 worth of new foxes on the other hand, are getting limit straps.

Limit straps are probably a good idea. You are protecting your investment in shocks by adding them but I honestly wouldn't loose sleep about your b110s. If you blow them out, just replace them or get the archive kit, slap some 12s or 14s in there and worry about it then when you've got over $1000 into some kings or foxes or whatever your preference is. My 2 cents worth of wisdom.

I installed +9" lines last year in preparation for this mod if you want to talk about overkill. I wouldnt spend money on shorter ones if you have +8" on hand.

Oh it makes perfect sense to me. I don't wheel hard like alot of you guys do TBH my back just won't take it. We pull our tiny camper up fire roads and logging roads and we have been to a offroad park to play and will again. My whole purchase of the Deavers and hammer Hangers was centered more toward towing and off road towing not as much a concern about flex. have I been in situations where I had a back tire off the ground? Yep, several times but that was before the rear suspension upgrade.. Perhaps it is best for me to just keep doing what i am and keep an eye on it and if needed they can easily be added. Any thoughts are welcome

Where'd you guys purchase your extended lines at? My little +4" lines aren't enough. Searching the web I keep finding 2" and 4" but no more.

Call crown performance and tell them the length over stock that you want and they'll make them for you. But you have to call because on their website they only have complete sets listed.

Sick, that should be enough. After that, I'm going to strap it. DMZ is just a few miles down the freeway from me anyways.

Alright peeps, I’m about to order some rear 2.5x14’s from ADS...

Anything special I need to request? @Supra4x4 i think you’re the only other ADS guy here...

I know I need welded rod ends, to help shorten things up a tad. I’m going to add compression adjusters as well, and have them valve to my trucks rear axle weight.

I’m not sure if they can add an IBP but if so, I’ll check to see how much more that will cost. I’m not going to bother with triple bypasses, it’s mainly a street truck and the type of wheeling I do doesn’t warrant them.

should I request a specific RR hose length?

    The golden recipe would be:
2.5x14" Short Body (Custom order only, I asked them on instagram and they said they would make it.)
    Welded Lower Rod End
Remote Reservoir (specify Archive towers so that they know how to orientate the fittings.)
As far as hose length goes, you'll have to burn in some mounts for the reservoirs so as long as the hose is long enough to make a 90 degree turn around whatever bump stop solution you have you're good. I used camburg dual clamp mounts: https://camburg.com/shop/fabrication/camburg-universal-4130-mounts/

The rest is up to you as far as the comp adjusters and valving.

So regarding limit strap length, I measured on my truck, with 12" extended on the shock, it looks like an 18" strap bolt to bolt would be about right. This is with the axle limit tabs pointing off back side of axle, almost touching the hard brake lines, maybe about 30° up from horizontal.

Right now, I recommend anyone with the limit tabs to see how they fit on the axle, and measure for your setup. Read quoted post for more info

~16" hose length should be good, which is Fox standard length for smoothy. King has a 14" I believe and it can be too short

would the welded rod end still be necessary with the short body?

There we go lol. I had no idea what the hose length should be. With my bypasses I have a 90 degree fitting pointing upward for the remote reservoir and the hose just makes a turn around the airbumps. I think the smooth body shocks have the fitting at the top.

It’s less necessary on the smooth body shock, since with a bypass you have to be mindful of where ride height is for tube positioning. But personally, I would still order it. For reference my bypasses are full body 14” and as you can see they stick down a good distance below the frame. The main benefit for you ordering the welded rod end will be ground clearance, as it will allow you to angle the axle tab higher. If I was to do it over again, I would have ordered a short body 14 if I had known it existed. Disregard the shitty Dakar springs, those are gone now.
