    Hey Eric,
I’m looking at getting the MD springs. Located in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, so I’m wondering if you have any suggestion on retailers that might sell/ship them in Canada or Ontario specifically.
Thanks for the info you may have. Cheers.

Hey Eric I normally have an empty bed. But sometimes haul motorcycles and atvs would your MD pack add to much height. I am lifted already with kings currently just running a add a leaf. But getting tired of ride quality.

Maybe just do our Hammer Hangers for improved ride quality and handling and durability.

Unless you are saying your bad ride quality is coming from hitting bump stops all the time.

Our MD packs would be max 3" lift on DC at stock weight

@ARCHIVE Are you able to turn the HD into the MD?

Trying to plan for future weight increase.

No, but we do have an available Add-A-Leaf for our leaf packs, so you do have option to start with MD, then increase rate with the AAL, so it gets closer to HD.

I just wrapped up installing my Archive Garage HD leaf springs and was able to test them off-road over the weekend. The leaf springs are awesome! I can't wait to get the hammer hangers installed next weekend.

Selecting these springs started with weighing my truck. With a full tank of gas & myself in the vehicle the total weight was 5,850 lbs. Front axle 3,050. Rear axle 2,800. This meant the rear axle was ~800+ lbs over stock. This put me in the range of Archive's HD pack (600-1,200 lbs) or Deaver Stage III (700-1,000). I was already purchasing hammer hangers this month, and after seeing the HD leaf springs go on sale I decided to try out the Archive leaf pack since it was $413 cheaper than the Deaver option.

I measured my fender to center of wheel before & after the install. Before measurement was 22", after was 24.75". These springs gave me about 2.75" of lift, which is expected since I am on the lower end of the 600-1,200 rating.

The one big unknown with purchasing these springs is "do I need shims". I didn't see anyone else in this thread discuss this, but I had a good feeling that with Archive's reputation these springs were engineered correctly and shims were not going to be needed. I was very happy to find out I would not need shims after installing the leaf pack. After install my transfer case yoke vs pinion yoke were only 0.5 degrees off from each other, thus no shim is needed. Below is a photo of the angle finder, which was first zeroed on the transfer case yoke then put on the pinon to measure the difference. As of now I have not experienced any driveline vibrations between 0-70mph despite the increase in angle between the two driveshafts. I'll wait for everything to settle and do more testing, but for now it doesn't seem like I will need to adjust the stock carrier bearing position (has never been modified).

My one and only complaint with these springs is that this leaf pack is wider than stock, and unfortunately this is not disclosed on the website. I am hoping a small note can be added to the "fitment" part of the website so that others purchasing this leaf pack can be aware of this prior to install. You will either need to purchase the Archive Ubolt kit or modify another kit to work with these springs.

The stock leaf pack is 2.375" wide. The Archive leaf pack is 2.5" wide. I discovered this when trying to install my new Ubolt flip kit from Accutune. Since the Ubolt flip kit was designed for a stock width leaf pack, the Ubolts were not able to sit parallel to each other, rather one was being angled out. I then tried to install my existing Duro-bumps flip kit and ran into the same issue. I still had the stock bolts that came on the truck and those didn't fit around the leaf pack either.

My solution was to slot out two of the holes using a mill, allowing the outer Ubolt to sit closer to the wheel and clear the leaf pack. I felt this was a better option than using a larger drill bit and enlarging the diameter of the hole thus decreasing the surface area for the washer to contact. Slotting the metal top plate worked and I able to use the Accutune Ubolt flip kit. Obviously using Archive's Ubolt flip kit would have avoided this problem, but since it isn't disclosed on the website there was no way to know about a compatibility issue.

Has anyone experienced any issues with squeaking? I've been running a medium duty set of OME dakkars, and they are brutal.

How long after install did they start squeaking? My deaver u402's started to squeak within the first two years of use.
Not as bad as my old Dakars though. They were way squeaky!

Well I just installed the archive xd's today. So time will tell.

Why don't you contact us. Most times noises have been poly bushings not greased properly.

I've read about stock packs squeaking as well on brand new Tacomas. We've only gotten a handful of reports about squeaking and it's no where near level OMEs are notorious for.

    Hey @ARCHIVE
Spring install was a successful and those new 3.6 shackles are stout.
Ride height looks perfect with the added weight on my truck.
Next step: I want to do the shock relocation to get the full drop that is capable from this setup. I currently have the ads shocks and like them. Do you have any shock recommendations for the shock relocation kit?
    Thanks!

Hey Eric I was not complaining about it. I do love the springs. They are the only ones who hold the weight. Just saying. I also thought that the bushings need more grease. But weather up here sucks with no garage. So I’ll deal with it till spring.

No worries. I'm in similar climate, and I favor spraying Fluid Film on the springs if you don't mind the oily haze. Benefits of FF are warding off rust and lubricating between leaves.

I recommend you retorque the U-bolts to about 100 lbft. Somewhat loose U-bolts can contribute to noise.

ADS makes shocks that fit or relocation kits, so any top quality brand 2.5". I recommend just getting 12" with our HDs or XDs or MaxD.
