thanks @Buttskevin21 - I may move questions over to the 63 swap thread (sorry for hijacking) and will certainly add questions or possibly PM you as I run into issues I can't wrap my head around ... if you have any "keep this front and center in your head" tips please shoot over the notes. For me the basics include:
    • do you remove the bed and gas tank? I assume that makes everything simply easier in terms of access and maneuvering - not to mention welding near the tank?
    • measure, measure, measure. I have an 05 and initial estimates have me pushing the front hangers 4 5/16" forward, tack in and work from there - but will methodically go through once I'm in there.
    • add some weight to the bed (I have 400lbs of weights in the garage where I'll be doing the swap) when setting the rears and shoot for a good shackle angle (? ~15* ?) and verify a good lift height.
    • patience
I have the ruff stuff kit but referencing the lowrangeoffroad instructions since they have quite a bit of detail.

On a stock 3rd gen, when hitting some extended length potholes, potholes on turns and transitions from ac pavement to dirt roads, my back end gets jumpy, loose and feels like it wants to loose control. One time has lost control(but I saved it easily). Would these hangers help in these situations?

The rear end can only handle so well.
Varies with shocks, shock tuning, leafs, tire size, tire pressure, how much your truck weighs, how much weight you have over the rear end, etc. Not just if you have hangers or not.
