    My multi-use tool of choice when traveling in Canada has always been an aluminum Louisville slugger. Canada just generally frowns on bringing any firearm into the country. Once had a Canadian border crossing agent, (remote crossing in N.Dakota into Manitoba) literally dismantle our Tundra and travel trailer looking for a firearm we didn't have, and said we didn't have. We had been fishing for a week and looked a little rough, but, we were courteous, but, apparently not very believable.

    Yeah getting a hunting gun into Canada for a cast and blast isn't that hard. The hardest part is bringing your gun back into the US, not going into Canada. Would likely be worth it for me to get a Canadian PAL. It's $25 a trip into Canada but with a PAL $60 covers unlimited trips for 5 years. Still have to deal with coming back into the US though.

    Helps keep the engine up to temperature in cold weather, and warm up faster. 0F / -20C is where the benefits start to become obvious.
