Are 09+ reverse lights brighter than the 05-08 lights?

I have a 2005 and was wondering if i replaced the tail lights with 2009 tail lights, would my reverse lights be any brighter? I'm aware of the other bulb options to make the 05-08 reverse lights brighter, but i'm still curious to know the answer. Sorry if this has been answered before but i could not find it. Thanks

well so do my 05 ones. i have to stick my head out the window at night if im backing up in an unfamiliar place, and the last time i did that it was pouring down rain

 

Ventshades might help.

Seriously, I think the only way to get better light out back is to add a set of cheap fogs.
